When we have 2 vehicles in for recovery one goes on the back and the other on the spec the spec is part of the truck not a A frame that is fastened to the towbar of the truck so it becomes part of the weight we can move legally

I think you will find that you can not hand in a weapon to any RFD you will find that some RFD are only permitted to deal in section 5's and some can deal in section 1's
so find out what catergory yours falls into before you get into more bother you can
do the work yourself and submit it to the proof house but if not upto current standard
you risk loosing it just my 2pennyworth as I understand the law but I am sure if wrong
someone will soon post and correct me

The 65th is my first time that I will be attending the Normandy commemorations.
It is something that I have dreamed off for many many years. I am way behind everyone else here who may of seen the most 'special' of commemorations but I am just pleased to be able to be part of it. I will be staying with my dear friend Joris and his group and what a way to spend my first time there.
We are staying above Omaha and is going to be a strange time without a doubt. I most certainly plan to be up by 05:00 to see the sun rise and I intend to stay awake all night - to allow my mind to dream and wonder.
This is a spiritual journey for me more than anything.
Can't wait.
Jack.

Below is an Email I received from Jeep Parts
Hi Chris,
These are the details for us in France.
Jeeparts uk are here in Normandy on holiday just like you but we do have a limited supply of parts should you need them.
You can pay in sterling or Euros, whichever is most convenient for you at the normal prices.
We are staying in Port-en-Bessin so you will need to call us on 07777 687846 / 0044 7777 687846 to arrange a convenient time and place to meet.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to Normandy and have a safe trip.
