    This was originally ex Cadzow heavy haulage ..still as the Hercules engine in it and comes from Derbyshire

    Then like today the crew dont get to ride on any vehicles your on your feet when moving wide /long loads ..Crews in the days of the Ts would be driver.. mate and a steersman ..Same amout today on flat top work only on the girder sets does the figure go up to 6 plus van /escort driver

    When Wynns operated there Ts cabs were still available They also had quite a number Of Ts that were purchased for spares only ..but needed to have room for 3 personnel ..Pickfords option was the canvas cabin on the side .. Nash.Morgan from the forest of dean built all except for the last 3 Ts ,,they were built in house designed by Stan Anderson and these became known as the Anderson cab of which one survives into presevation..3630.DW..now owned by Dave Weedon of York

    The Diamond T is now owned by a Mr Kevin Riley of Bootle near Liverpool he also owns a rolls powered 981 in army green Both attended the Riverside steam rally Southport last month

    Hi Stormin ..I put a DAF 575 turbo in my last 1 a few years ago was brilliant on the flat any hills it crawled up em on its own would hate to have towed anything with it not as powerful as the continental ..but i suppose you cant have everything

    Hi Andy yeah spoke to Dave today he,d just sold my old Kenworth and only got his own with the scanny engine and he uses it ..

    Yeah i do know clifton ..didnt realise he still owned it ..could do with a bigger power plant in it the leyland 401 will be a bit sluggish i would of thought..but will ring him ..many thanks for your help

    Originally purchased by me with a tree growing throughit.. had chassis up rebuild in desert colour to replicate one i had in the early 1980s ..was then sold and restored by me in to Audsleys recovery livery was in a fire in the early 1990s .. then sold to Robert Abram and restored by Johnsons of Banks to the current condition

    Touch wood runs as sweet as a nut ...Went to dorset and back 500 + miles and a few other rallies no problem..

    It is being restored back to its original 1970s Showland livery ... Hopefully will be seen at a couple of local shows ..but it is going back to work for Silcocks
