  1. Tony those 3 things all come from different areas of the wiring. Is that a water or oil temp gauge that has failed & has the fuel gauge failed? Oil pressure light failed but has the choke warning light failed as well? The dashboard lights (thats both?) failed have any of the side lights failed?
  2. That's an interesting thought because somehow they would need something like that to develop monitoring equipment & train the operators, but that's not the answer here.
  3. Oh yes & I suppose it had a poop deck
  4. Now then, now then. Nothing like that, this was a training school of His Majesty's Royal Navy.
  5. Tony you've not explored all avenues yet. Not much speculation has been given to what is in the hut on the raft, what is below the surface is just a part of a complete system.
  6. The lake was a torpedo test lake that I assume was part of Vernon. Although things other than torpedoes & mines were investigated there in those days.:-D
  7. Álvaro's Portuguese Shorland kit is looking pretty good. http://www.shorlandsite.com/WhatsNew.htm
  8. Nope nothing deliberately to produce a thermal change Lauren.
  9. Interesting thought Mike but nothing like that.
  10. Nope not that. (If I seem unresponsive to answers, it is because I am wasting time trying to repair the central heating all day & its quite cold!)
  11. None of those. The stuff on the surface is in a "hut" on a "raft".
  12. Nope none of those, but yes there is stuff inside the tank. But not a generator. There is also stuff floating on the surface connected to the tank.
  13. Well yes get that & the quiz will be solved Nope
  14. A good possibility but nothing like that.
  15. If it helps, the tank is 4 ft diameter. The tank & its contents weigh 16 cwt.
  16. Stirred & not shaken? If it helps this particular installation was intended for a lake.
