Hi, now I'm aware this is a long shot but does anyone happen to have any spare wings or bins for a ferret scout car.
Regards

Hi Jim
I have built a few of these but they are not easy there is lots of angles for example the center bin took a week to build I sold one for £350 but it was hard the other although smaller will take just as long so be aware if anyone offers to do one there is a lot of work.
regards
Laurence
Thanks Laurence, Yes, lots of work to make. I've decided its going to be the 'no frills Aden look' until something turns up.
Thanks again, Jim.

Great tutorial with excellent photos to explain things even better. I would welcome any photos of the 'distance piece', that's the spacer at the back of the sun wheel. I happen to need a pair of these, the spaces that is! the manual talks of them coming in three sizes.
What did the shims look like which came off with the Sun wheel pls.?
Thanks for taking the time to post .

Hi All, Wondered if anyone has any experience of replacing the oil seal housed in the oil pump cover at the very front of the gearbox? Mine is leaking oil and if anyone could give me any tips before I commence I would be very grateful
Cheers

Hi Chaps, This is a long shot but would anyone happen to have spare the small 'stop' which attachs to the front of the right front bevel box? It stops the brake lever and hence the piston of the master cylinder travelling too far.
Thanks

Hi, complete brake cables for ferret scout car wanted. Banisters only do complete outfits and my cylinders are surprisingly good. one or more serviceable please, if any lying about . Cheers, Jim.

Think about talking to a good local machine shop.
Hi Robin, Yes that's the final option which I will go down if necessary as I have access to one as a pattern.
Cheers Jim

Hi Jim,
Saracen and other Alvis vehicles are different, as are Mk4 Ferrets. I am sure someone will have changed a complete wheel station at some time so the should be some around somewhere.
Thanks Richard for that info, so they are unique to ferrets...good to know. Agree they should be around, will keep posting
Thanks again

Have you tried Banisters?
Hi, yes tried Richard, surprisingly we hasn't any. Do you know if they are used on other machines, saracens for instance? I'm not desperate yet, infact far from it but always keen to find some or a shell or WHY!
thanks

I'm needing a pair of the Hub sun gears from a Daimler ferret, anyone pls?
Cheers Jim.
Would be happy to consider complete but needing repair wheel stations, or even a rolling shell at the right money.

Hi, great collection you have there, whereabouts are you?
-
I have a varied collection that includes an Abbot, Two Saracens (MKI & MK5) two stalwarts (MKII & MKII with crane) as well as a Champ and a Polsten Quad and a Rubery Owen heavy recovery jib and various trailers as well as a mountain of bits and bobs, I am interested in the post war era. I have been looking for a pack and a set of engine bay deck plates for my Abbot for 11 years! as well as lots of other bits. Any pointers would be gratefully received,
Hi John, Welcome in. That's a great collection you have, Whereabouts are you based?
Jim.
