Been looking in my attic, I have found a magazine torch which I used for inspection of RN ammunition stores, unfortunately I cannot find the key to change the battery, can any one help?
Have to say one of the best torch's for using in dusty atmosphere and arguing with guys saying I cant go in.
Picture show one type of key but I am looking for any

I think I saw one of these in Jurby Museum on the Isle of Man, they have a good history on some of the machines, maybe they can help.
I cant find a picture at the moment

Message me what you need, got a guy that repairs and refurbish them from ww1 to modern day. He will know
Thanks, will scan in 2 pages and pm, when I get a chance tomorrow

If the post by Runegutt on this thread is correct, parts are the same as for Optimus stoves:-
http://classiccampstoves.com/threads/british-army-no-12-stove.3179/
Optimus parts supplier:-
Thanks, have part numbers and diagrams to follow up
-
Does any one know a supplier that can supply parts for the stoves, started cleaning up the Mark twelve and have found some missing.
-
All the documents look in good condition, which is good news for researchers

Sorry noticed spelling mistake in title

I eventually managed to get around to checking what's needing done to the trailer and found these in it.
As can be seen one end is bent over, can any one tell me are they part of the kit or been thrown in to get rid of them?
I have gone through the parts catalogue but either am missing them or not parts of the trailer

Looks a really nice job, with reference to the chipping of paint that was the only way matelots would know or be allowed to remove paint, still went on when I was at sea

Surveyor,
sorry for trying to help, but in some cases just because there is a standard there might also be an alternative that is more affordable and more readily available.
Anyway, cheers mate, good luck.
Robin, thanks, being an ex matelot not thinking land workings. Also as work on building sites think in straight lines

Could I ask yous Sir where in the world you live and wonder if you could edit your profile so that detail shows onthe top right of your posts.
No point me telling you what the NAPA paint code is if you don't live in my neck of the woods
See what I mean? meant in the best possible taste, no offence intended or desired
Thank you for the comment however the question is in relation to British Army stove so where in the world I am is not relevant it refers to a standard which is relevant. If the stove was New Zealand I would expect the person be able to respond.

I have "hopefully" purchased 3 different stoves, this then raises a question, who can list the stoves, I have a Mk, 2, 3 and 12, what others are there and at the minimum a picture of them?
-
I am trying to a stove does any one know the British Standard or equivalent to repaint this.
As a side issue any one have copies of the Maintenance manual? Also the operation and parts manual?

I have had two fairly naff reports but seeing as how they are free I cant complain, there are humans involved in the admin chain so therein lies the problem I suspect. I cant ask for a refund so I am going to bide my time and re submit in a year or so and hope they come up with a different response.
That is a good idea

All, thanks for the information, will proceed with caution

Be careful of which charities you support - RBL and the poppy campaign are awesome, and I'd support them in a heartbeat, but there are some charities that aren't necessarily as nice.
One of my friends found this out the hard way when her family was involved in the Sri-Lanka tsunami, so now I tend to be *very* careful which charities I support. Anything with a political or religious connection needs very careful inspection, as you don't want to support the sort of selective aid that refuses to help and says "we'll only help you if you join our club / convert" when people are at their lowest possible moment.
Thanks for the heads up, however was thinking of those that support our lads and lassies as its a military vehicle

20160906-FOI2016_07652_Annex_A_MERLIN_report_YC62AA-O.pdfHave had a confirmation that they have formally disposed of it, the sheet still says no, copy attached
-
Many of us have supported the RBL Poppy Appeal over the years
Fully support the cause, just thinking of any pit falls, e.g. insurance etc.
-
I requested the MERLIN report for a vehicle, receiving the result it does not appear to be recorded as on the disposal list.
Yes I have challenged the report as I have the release certificate.
Has any one else had this issue, if so what was the outcome?
-
Has any one been asked to help with a charity event by supplying a vehicle to encourage donations?
If so what advise can be given?

Difficult to interperate many years ago i was involved at an army base where the roads were open to the public when not firing and saw some one photographing buildings, we stopped them got details and reported to the guardroom, we were never advised of a follow up. This in the days before digital and social media
