Sir you have my respect for what you are doing and there are to many who agree with what you and your colleagues are doing and will not express their thoughts

Another funny story on Wednesday I received an email from a well know supermarket store saying I was in a venerable group due to my age, still trying to pick my kids and others off the floor, 57 this year.
Thursday logged on no longer a vulnerable person, some logic there lol

I believe for classic car insurance some companies say 25 is the minimum age

This has nothing to do with our subject of military vehicles but in these times I thought it was a good story to share.
If the moderators wish to take it down so be it

Can you get REME involved in this? I know that locally, they've done vehicle moves for collectors as training exercises.
Yes remember as an exercise they did demolition on HMS Raven at Crail Airfield

Wally the actual figure for moving the Vc10 was £140000.
Do you have a breakdown of the cost which would be interesting

A friend of mine has asked me if there is any information regrading the company.
The research at the moment is general but the work done during the war years, any war would be appreciated as they are trying to make a film about them.
There may be other companies to research.

As early as 1940, CMP motorcyclists were authorised to use the 'Cases, Pistol, Web, R.T.C.' instead of the standard 'Case, Pistol'...the practice seems to have continued throughout the war. This wouldn't apply to any other corps or unit though.
Do you have pictures of the difference between them

Despite its size, the Victor cockpit is tiny!
Here's the one at Elvington. Even with seats out, it wouldn't be a big space! What about the main body

If it's completely empty turn it into the gift shop - or restaurant. Similar theme to next door. 😉

I received the ATU and they were painted then so I hope to continue the practice, but thanks for the pointers regarding trying to get them roughened before painting, think my local garage may have some of the battery acid, will give them a shout latter

Well , I have my notes here - from when I used my Moore & Shite 0-1" and genuine Starrett (Jedburgh) 6" ruler of glare-resistant chrome finish , also Zeus tables (all equipment purchased 1965) however - be aware I need to go to SpecSavers
Rod dia. 2.25mm
Length 45mm
Max. O'all length 55mm
Internal of helicoil 10mm
Closed 15mm
Open 20mm
A civil surveyor should be able to decipher a engineer surveyor's notes LoL
Many thanks for this
