PUR is polyurethane, this are markings on the plastic to facilitate recycling.

Indeed it seemed that the Goerz design was used in several countrys. It's strange it has the double adjusters.

The scope after a first bit of cleaning. I tried to open the bottom part that was rusty. But most parts are stuck. If i look down in the scope from the top i can see the aiming line. So the dirt must be in the horizontal lower part. Maybe a bit of penetrating oil will help.

Did run into this on a belgian fleamarket this morning. The Filotecnica gunsight (license Goerz). 1956. Some lower parts have a little rust. All seems to work but it is a bit cloudy.

Yes the part with the grille was also landrover (aluminum) most of the time. Lot's of them were sold of in the 90s. I had one too. Only 53.000 kms on the clock.  And forgot to put the handbrake on...😕🥴

D is an other lamp above a workbench? With a wooden back behind it. The shadow of the lamp is on it. At the right  there are two more of these spotlights.

Our coal mine had the same steam Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0 locomotives. Two survived.

Old binoculars have grease in them. That dries out and they get stuck too when they are old. Heat is used to free them. So it might function here too. Give it a try, use a heat gun. Succes.

I just found that there is something engraved on the tank "Camp de Beverloo". This are Belgian baracks from 1835 after the country seperated it's self from the Netherlands.

In my parts stock i did find this brass base with a hollow adjustment nut (for the cable?) . There is a broad arrow on the brass. For the rest i don't know what it is. Please make an offer. Plus postage from the Netherlands. Diameter 9 cms.

Here a French Latil 8x8 protoype from 1940 designed for towing damaged tanks. The army did find it to complicated so no order followed. Wonder where this on ended up, commandeered by the Germans....

I dont like putting brass parts in the blaster, clock cleaning fluid could work. And on the french old tool forum they came up with a mix of vinigar and some spoons of salt. Worked rater well on oxydized parts.
