  1. Indeed it seemed that the Goerz design was used in several countrys. It's strange it has the double adjusters.

    The scope after a first bit of cleaning. I tried to open the bottom part that was rusty. But most parts are stuck. If i look down in the scope from the top i can see the aiming line. So the dirt must be in the horizontal lower part. Maybe a bit of penetrating oil will help.

  2. Old binoculars have grease in them. That dries out and they get stuck too when they are old. Heat is used to free them. So it might function here too. Give it a try, use a heat gun. Succes.

  3. I just found that there is something engraved on the tank "Camp de Beverloo". This are Belgian baracks from 1835 after the country seperated it's self from the Netherlands.

    I did find this old postcard on the web.
