  14. Hi Yellow Truck, you have a very interesting early GMC with the early braking system. I would think your truck is a early March 1941. Keep the pictures coming.
  15. I am going to replace the brake lines on my GMC and the fuel line from the petrol tank to the filter. what is the safe product grade to use and the dia of the brake lines / pipes. also what would be the dia of the fuel line to the filter. Ken
  16. My 1945 MB was re built in 1955 by Rootes Manchester then sent to Norway. please see a link to this as discussed before http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/newreply.php?p=447475&noquote=1
  17. Looking at the picture I noticed the pioneer rack fitted to the rear tailgate on the GMC. I have never seen that before very interesting.
  18. Thanks Paul for your detailed reply, and yes I have changed my mind about BBQ myself on the manifold !:red::red: can you just confirm the rule of 12 from start to finish so I can't go wrong.
  19. Thanks Steve, I am thinking about adjusting them with the engine running, that way I cannot get them out of sequence  well that's the plan. regards Ken
  20. Thank you Nick, yes they are noisy and I feel they do need adjusting. Would you be able to confirm the complete sequence for starting to adjust or otherwise I know I get them all out of sequence and they will be all over the show. The Dodge manual states 0.010 will not go between the valve stem and adjusting screw but a 0.012 will. So is it best to set intake and exhaust to 0.012 ?
  21. I have never adjusted serviced the tappets on a Dodge WC before and wonder if the Members could advise on a step by step fool proof way to carry this out. regards 460
