  1. Looks a very tidy one!

Would appear to be completely kitted so plenty to play with as well.

I think these motors are a bit of a bargain at the moment if you can afford the fuel.

No pictures of the pump in action?

I had the camera, but to busy getting wet

  2. Had a play today, got the pump working after about an hour of pull this, turn that

Mark, no problems starting today, no choke or throttle. 4 wheel drive is in low gear only, indicators have packed up :(.

  3. Well, well we made it home today, collected the lady from Wayne's about midday, after a very bloody exspensive breakfast - £26.00 for 3 :argh:

Seemed like a short trip home, 130 miles or there abouts, it rained most of the way, but she's home. Still got a quarter of a tank left, so from Falmouth to Maidstone £190.00 & still some left.

Many thanks to Mark again & I look forward to the next adventure :-D

  4. Is this at Gillingham or Chatham, or is is one and the same?

    Its the same..

    I stand corrected :-D

The thread title is misleading, this is the RE Museum (Royal Engineers) you visited.

Please change the thread name :

  5. Called in at the local RE Museum today, boys has this place changed. £6.35 to enter & given a hole years entry, including all events...

Very well presented, from the 1800's onwards.

  6. Good luck if you have to go job hunting mate - I've been doing it for the last few months without any luck whatsoever. Actually been told off the record whilst leaving a couple of interviews that I'd have had the job if I wasn't the wrong side of 50. Thought age discrimination was illegal - seems I was wrong!!

No, your not wrong, their not allowed to ask your age on the application form & if you are sort listed, your sex which ever it is, should not be on the paper work either..

  7. At the the weekend Mark & myself drove to Falmouth to collect this

All in all a busy Saturday night & all of Sunday, due to the GG not wanting to starting after the first petrol stop, we kept her running during the second. Pulledover for coffee, left her ticking over only to notice she had stopped again. This put us back even further, after phoning a knight in green armer, it was agreed to park up at Wayne's yard (thanks Wayne).

I dropped Mark off & headed home, got in at 10.30. We had covered 740 miles in the Toyota costing £65.00 :-D, the Goddess was a different story, so far £191.00 to Wayne's yard another 120 miles to go .

It will be worth it. Impressive cruising speed 67 mph, I have attached a couple of youtube links.

..had it tested during the week, no problems, even the corrosion on the piston will not affect the seals. Extends under pressure and returns due to its own weight.

    All parts removed and checked.

Hope you all had a good weekend, hello & goodbye from the sunny south.

  10. Been busy today, I looked for some hard work during the week for the work bench but all I could find at the normal diy places was pine...

So, thinking it through we have wood at home from last years bad weather, sorted one of the trees that came down in the storm & started work. :-D
