The original petrol tank is in a very sorry start so whilst at Malvern a few weeks ago I found a temporary 3HW tank, still in need of repair, but much more solid.....apart from the big holes!
I have reached a mile stone this weekend, the remaining tin wear has now been prepared and painted .... the rear mud guard was in particularly bad shape....
So the count down begins, hoping to have it finished in 2 weeks! The fuel tank is still proving extremely problematic so watch this space.....wheels and mudguard need peeping and spraying and the last of the connections and fittings to be do
A really medial question, I am after a new headlamp and pilot bulb for my head lamp. I can see the headlamp bulb is 6v 24w but the pilot bulb is missing. Can I ask where you guys source your bulbs.......?
By chance has anyone got photos/a source for the correct toolbox knob / bar that secures the lid?
Currently I have picked up a slight later tool box, possibly 3HW but would like it to look as authentic as possible ....
This weekend has enabled me to plod on with some of the smaller fabrications of parts, whilst waiting for some of my other items to be delivered.
Due to the limitation of time and the weather means the wheels are currently on the back burner.
On a separate note does anyone have a set of instructions on how to test the Lucas MCR1 voltage regulator? I have a sheet somewhere but cannot seem to find it......the simpler the better, electrics are not my strongest suit 👍
Collecting the wheels today’s so hoping to get some paint on them and installed in the next few days.
Currently I am waiting for Royal Mail to deliver my newly purchased items so I can crack in this weekend......
On a separate not I checked the throttle/twist grip complete length and it’s indeed approximately 7” long.
wheels have today gone off for blasting ready for painting this weekend fingers crossed.....let hope the rain holds off.
All missing clutch items have now been ordered so I am hoping a good weekends work will really start to bring it all together, well that’s what I am telling myself!
