Pocahontas Posted March 16 Share Posted March 16 Book “World War II Waterproofing and Wading in Weymouth” Preparation for the D-Day landings on the Normandy beaches. Thanks all for your support in the form of positive comments concerning the book, for those who have purchased the book and comments relating to Weymouth in WWII. Following on from our post on HMVF concerning the book above we are pleased to announce that R.E.M.E. Museum at Lyneham have invited us to give a talk about the book and the Father-in-law on 6 June 2024. This ties in with a whole batch of events they are organising to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day at the Museum. The snag for the majority of HMVT members is that I assume the majority will be involved with other events with their WWII vehicles in UK or Normandy on this date. Can anyone advise me on WWII D-Day events with HMVT vehicles in the UK after 06 June this year. We are tied up with events from the last week in May right up until 06 June 2024.
