StuartV
WW2 Bofors Gun Scott Saltaire Generating Set - Scott Stationary Engine and Generator To be used with the Kerrison Predictor auto aimer on the Bofors Gun. 2 stroke Scott engine with generator (untested). Wiring diagram and starting instructions dated 1941. It is sparking and there is compression but will probably need a little more fettling to start and run. It comes with the starting handle and two bars for carrying the unit. It appears to be mostly all there with the notable exception of the three electrical gauges and the oil bath air filter for the carburettor. Condition as per photos. I have not repainted it. It would be a shame to lose its originality. Units in this state of completeness are few and far between I am led to believe. War Department number and Scott engine number present. I have a WW2 operators manual for the identical Jowett unit (a Scott design and parts but assembled in the old Jowett factory). I have reluctantly listed this for sale due to lack of time and funds for other projects. Collection from Kirkcaldy, Fife, I would estimate it to weigh approx. 200kg. I am looking for £1,
