A closely related WS No 38 AFV was used in tanks for infantry cooperation - the difference was use of a vehicle power supply rather than batteries. woa2 Posted May 6, 2014 Share Posted May 6, 2014 It's actually a 38 Mk2* The difference is that it doesn't have the light for battery condition that the mk2 had. The 38 Mk2* was the most common set made for the British in WW2, but is now very rare as it was replaced in the late 1940s by the 88 set. All the ones I have seen were made by Marconi Wireless.
