MHillyard
Bought at the car boot today, can't say i've seen one like this before, dated 1966. Any ideas what it would be used for and what would it be worn with? Condition is better than the photo shows Edited April 1, 2012 by MHillyard

fv1609
Not Army, it's RAF. 22P is Vocab Section for survival equipment.
fv1609
It equates to 8405-99-125-3689 Hat, sun, survival kit Men only it seems, NSC 8405 is for Outwear, mens
wdbikemad
Probably tropical aircrew kit........the army version is a different shape, and normally has a cloth sewn band around the crown to attach cammo foliage...plus ventilation eyelets........and, I seem to recall, a different shape....? Scotch Harry
Just came across this-had it for a few years(cannot remember from where it came) and appears to be similar.Unfortunately the label is missing and my cap has a wire brim.
