It was set book for English in my time. a play about a group of British soldiers in the jungle WW2. There was also a black and white film. Title correct, described as WWII Malaya? Customer reviews, WWII Burma, 1960, Richard Todd/Richard Harris/David McCallum and Ronald Fraser, squaddies capture a Japanese soldier.
