Mark - I would not have thought that the imbalance in rear tyre pressures would upset the steering at all.
Have you checked balance of front tyres yet?
That is a Christmas holiday job. :-D

Nice one JN look forward to the report and pictures

Thank you

Now having brought the truck home I finally had a decent check of the tyres and found that the inner ones are 15psi lower than the outer which are 55psi, this could explain the "violent shimmy" as said before.
Another thought has occurred, if the truck is not loaded would it need the 55psi in the tyres, I know in the Reo I used to get a bounce when empty so lowered the tyre pressures and it went away, would this do the same on the jimmy?

It felt as though I was driving a bus when I came over the Sheppey Bridge :schocked:

Just a query, is the 164" wheelbase jimmy the long or short one please.
-
Trying to get back on topic, does this act cover the hanging imitation grenades from the vehicle ?

Well have just driven the Jimmy home for the winter and boy was it cold today, reckon it was about 3-4 degrees out there, no doors on the old girl etc. but what a blast in the sunshine recommend doing that at least once a month for the grin :-D factor alone.

Anyone know what happened to the one that was found and started to get restored by someone on here? (Morris)
I think it was Chapper's who had the bones of one and started to collect parts for it.
