why does everybody who is computer literate presume everybody else is computer literate i have read this load of gobbledegook four times and am none the wiser and whats a default i thought a default was some kind of penalty
A 'default' is the standard setting for something. So... when it says 'the default list order' it means that this is the standard setting for how the posts are listed: it shows the newer posts first.
It is unfortunate that words often have more than one meaning.

I find it very confusing and not easy to read. I am using it less and unless it becomes easier to use I will be stopping - sorry guys, its just not friendly
So what exactly is confusing? What parts are difficult to read? The team is working hard to make the forum work in its new format, and they seem to respond well to specific comments.

I am a development engineer and artist, so I must love change. Rust is also change, and we cannot stop it, so we work on keeping it at bay, with maybe a touch up here and there, but one day we know we are going to be faced with a lot of work. Forums are much like our vehicles in that respect.

Eh, I am a bit confused as well. Will they use the 'pencil box' shaped piece to make a rectangular sand core, then use the big pattern to make the main cavity, and then insert the rectangular sand core into that cavity. But does that not then leave a cavity the length and width of the rectangular sand core above it, which presumably you plan to machine off as required later? Or have I not only got hold of the wrong end of the stick, but the wrong stick completely...?

Thought that too, but then why would it need multiple grooves.
To fit the different diameters of the rubber used to make the O-rings, so securely holding the 0-ring without damaging the rubber?

You mention that there is not enough slack in the cable to replace the clamp, could the problem be a lack of 'give' in the cable as the battery vibrates and moves while you are driving?

If you received your email notification on the same computer as where you saved the image then it will show up - if you sent the link rather than the image

When you apply the big magnetic plastic roundel, would it help to put some soapy water on the hood first, a bit like one would do for a self-adhesive type, to help it slide around?

Now, in the intervening years, has anyone restored an Albion BY3 Bridging Variant?
Do you mean something like this: http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?57814-Albion-BY5-F-B-E

Re the brass stud, it looks like there was more to it but it has broken off. Could it have been an earth bonding point with a copper earth braid going to the door itself or even the A post ?

And can you see what is on the other side of the plate?

I would imagine that they can quite easily estimate potential damage, given that they know what proportion of the images are going to forums. While to us such forums are important, we are just a small part of the market that they support, mostly for free.
Photobucket as a forum support is dead, beyond our ability to renovate, just wave and let it go. All that remains are the opportunities for the future.

Bob, I don't suppose you have a picture of the one you sent?

I am not sure why they should cry at some account deletions, if the main purpose of those accounts was storage for forum posting. They need to get advertising seen by viewers, and places like Facebook generate clicks, but I cannot remember ever seeing any advertising related to any photobucket image I have seen on a forum. It would be a different story if images were embedded like a video, because then they could use YouTube-style adverts one can dismiss.
So, sadly, while it may feel comforting to stomp about like a bear with a sore ass, unless someone can come up with a successful way of monetizing pictures in <img> tags, the halcyon days of photobucket storage is over.

From today's online Telegraph.
Is that one of the new types of target?

Nice find, I had forgotten about it. I remember another one on the hills somewhere near Hythe, as well as the ones out Dungeness way.

When does the hull of one of these become a no longer viable item such that it is scrapped? I know my Minis used to rust out until they were ready to be folded up and delivered to the scrappy, so are these hulls flawed in some other way?

Lovely picture, and I have never seen those extension chests before. What were they for?
BTW, what is the vehicle third from the end?

If the spark is good and it only runs for 20 seconds then I would check the carb. A backfire could mean it was too lean or too rich, both are possible under the right conditions. I assume the bike was running OK before it went on static display and was not just popped together for display purposes? Have you tried pulling a plug the moment it stops running? This is the ideal moment as it will tell you whether it dies rich or lean.

Ah, so the pattern is rectangular at the back, well that makes complete sense then.
