  1. It all sounds very complicated to me. Mine still has the original set up and purrs away merrily. I was thinking of going down the electronic way but thought I would just see how she runs as it was ment to and I must say I am very happy as she starts on the button, all be it a bit of a task in this cold weather with the damp. But when running she's better than my works van.

  2. Good point!

Fairly certain it's current color scheme is post war, and lacking the roundels/some markings it should have. Looking to move the RAF lettering on to the doors, and adding roundels on the front/rear. It's a 1944 production.

Hi Martin and welcome on board. That looks to be a very nice and tidy Tilly, it also looks to be a very nice place to live by the looks of the weather out there.

    All the Best Steve.

  3. I have some Steve, a couple of different sizes.

I think they are Danish but are all hessian tape style.

Hi Adrian, good to here from you and hope you had a great Xmas and new year. I'm up for buying one of them, let me know how much. I'll have to make time to pop over and pick it up.

    Many thanks Steve.

  4. Hi all, hoping someone will be of help. I am wanting a US Burlap Camo net for my Dodge WC51, it doesn't have to be very large maybe about 4M square at the most as it is mainly going to be for show but would be nice if I did want to put it up to cover most of the dodge. I have a few of the modern post war nets but they just don't look wright.

    Cheers Steve.

  5. Hello Everyone,

My name is Joseph, but I go by Joe. I was in the U.S. Army for 26 years as an airborne, Infantryman. I have owned two military vehicles the first was a 1970 M151A2 Army Jeep (sold) and the second is a 1952 11E Military Volkswagen used by Vehicle Coy 151 in Lipstedt, Germany. I have been told by many people that this is a very rare Volkswagen. I would like to find more information about my vehicle and if possible who's vehicle this was back when it was used by the British Army.

    Thanks,

    Joe

Hi Joe and welcome to the forum. Looks like this could turn into a very interesting thread with regards to your VW.

    All the Best Steve.
