  1. Sad news,  the Whitbread Hop Farm's lovely corporate blue Abbott and 432 have been re-purposed-the good news is they are being re-born as something rather special! Does anyone remember the blue 432 going flat out right through the middle of a double decker bus?

    Ah, the good old days.........

We brought the REME Museum's Cent ARV purely because the organisers are so good to deal with.

    It is a great show!

  4. My first visit yesterday, and a glorious day. Nestled in the heart of the surrey countryside, away from the rat race, was the Capel show that really had everthing going for it. Stalls, re enactors, diaramas, battles and bangs in the arena, helicopters flying in to land. MVs with quite a lot of tracked armour.

Entertainment, food court, funfair, beer tent-it really had just the right amount of everything with a  friendly atmos.

    Well done everybody

  5. Hi Ron,

hope you are all well. The  tank gauge unit is a good old fashioned mechanical unit, and it fully strippable, and probably just needs a clean up. The leak is fixable. Hose and pump in the filler, drain out what you can, turn the turret 90 degrees, maybe re move a seat and remove the unit. Much more satisfying to fix what you've got than a plastic marine tank bodged in!

    regards

  6. luckily for most of us, we didn't need binoculars to see this one coming.

so, what now happens to all the deferalls, and monies paid for this year's show?

or shall i just leave the binoculars in their case.........
