  3. started getting the rear chassis ready for painting, dad manning the needle gun! some more pics of the scammell. plus new exhaust dose any body else know if there dash bored is welded to cab front panel? also the arm on the throttle control going down to the oily rusty cylinder at bottom of the injector pump pushes that cylinder into the pump and when you let go of the throttle it is really delayed when coming back of the cylinder, this probably doesn't make any sense but if any body dose know what i am on about and if its a problem would you let me know?

  5. got new batteries today very pleased and also bought a needle gun so the cleaning of the scammell is going to be better, my dad said that the fuel filters in the cab attached to the front panel are broken or not working i am not sure whats wrong exactly but dose any body know if you can get new fuel filters from any were???? John

  18. okay cheers Niels, and chev here are some pics of someone else pioneer and there gardner engine and i have tried to highlight the bit we need the water manifold if any one has any better pics please post them.
  19. hi chev, on the exhaust manifold side there is the inlet water manifold, mounted to the cylinder block just below the exhaust manifold? well i think that's what its called it has a bolt at either end, well ours is really pitted and corroded and we would like a new one if you have one? we havent gone through the engine yet so we dont know, also a set of throttle springs for the throttle on the injector side would be a help? john
  20. the rocking beams on the scammell are leaning in the middle and the brake linkage on top is touching the springs and when we jack the wheels of the ground and lower them there is movement underneath were the beams join the axle so we think it is the bushes or "bush" that need to be changed so if it is dose anyone know were we could get some of the bronze bushes made or were they might be sold we are going to have to get some one to do this part for us as its a bit out of our league haha.
