  1. triangle section of the rear body remade with new wood just need to find some new nuts and bolts so we dont have to use the old ones. some pioneers have this some dont depends if you have a spare wheel carrier
  2. taken some of the metal work of the back body to clean and paint and making a new section that fits in the triangular place at the back of the scammell the firts job we are doing on the rear body
  3. thanks for the pics we now have something to show to our mecanic and that we need a 3 hole one insted of 4
  4. this scammell was bought bought by my dad in 1981 he bought of quarnby garage the writing pictured on the side is the garage. it was a 1939 and it had all the origonal equpment and had a exstremly rare large dash board wich nearly dounle the amount of dials, and my dad recalls that it used to make a "hissss" when you pressed the clutch down like the brake and that was onley on the early ones he then had to sell and it ended up in a museum after being restored it is still preasant in the museum now the museum is in prauge.
  5. still on with the scammell just trying to source some metalastic couplings the the clutch shaft then we weill be starting the strip down i will post up some pictures when i get time
  6. we have started our scammell restoration and our first mechanical problem the clutch brake mecanism. we need a new clutch shaft , a new clutch flange and clutch stop drum assembley, dose any body know were we could source some of these parts?? Also are therse parts the same on other scammell vehicals with the seperate 6-speed gearbox?
  7. Thanks a lot, Bernard weel take a look. Unless we found one we were thinking of making a stainless steel one and yeah that PDF would be most helpful
  8. if any one knows were to get a exhaust silencer for the scammel wouch be good as ours is beyond repair
  9. yeah its all there apart from passenger seat frame and origonal mirrows and indicators thats all we can see thats not there,apart from painting the rear body and cab is were most work is requied. richard we are located in halifax west yorkshire, your knowledge if need will be most helpfull i will take a look at your blog

  11. yeah it is we got it on saterday, we have had two in the past and want to keep this one. just waiting for it to get home so we can check it all over.
