I thought the 40mm Bofors was a post war French conversion. Never heard of a 5 cylinder version myself.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. The way ahead is no doubt to get a socket and torque wrench man enough for the job. Currently I don't have either, so I have added them to the long list of stuff I want to pick up when time and finances permit. In the meantime I've added some discrete marks to the nuts and wheel which I will check as part of walk-round inspection I undertake before each journey.
Kind regards to all

Out in the truck today I picked up on a strange noise which on stopping I tracked drown to the front os wheel nuts which had loosened themselves :shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked:. :shocking:
Anyone else had this, and any thoughts on how to prevent this ? :n00b:.
I see that commercial vehicles use these:

This so far, somewhat selfishly is my favourite picture so far...
We had to move one of the toilets on site on the Friday
Did you know that a standard portable toilet fits neatly in to a Ben Hur trailer?

Ken, as someone who has made it his business to trawl the web in search of CCKW photos for the Blog, I'm pretty sure what you have there is a unique composition ! :nut: :rotfl:
