Not sure what these vehicles are but it is definately German POW'S . Also i wonder if this photo has been seen before as i found it on the Library of Congress website. It has quite good details when viewed at its largest size ( suggest you download the original file at the Library of Congress website link ) . One thing i did notice was that there is a Ford Model T crossing the road at the front of the convoy. Here is a Flickr link that shows the original file link for LARGE 24 MB downloading. DesertBlooms
