  1. In answer to your question: The Next County!

There can be some real as....... who make loud noises till dawn break and fire PARA flares which scares the life out of all the sober people in flamable tents. Quad bikes tearing up and down the tracks. Jeeps parking right next tothe toilets churning up the mud so no one can walk there, Drunk owners racing large scary vehicles around site. etc etc.

So realy why the heck do we keep going back...lol

    Expect to loose some sleep.

  2. The example of cadet uniform we have is 1982 dated from a cadte manual, it does not mention anything DPM. The DPM is proberly a later thing.

The Cadet DPM windproof smocks dont have any pockets and the example we have, has had pockets sewn where the chest pockets would be on a norma windproof.

  3. They are quite common. We picked a pair up at Beltring one year believing them to be '68 Patt but they did not have the shell pocket. Will see if I can get my mate to look at his label. I know another friend have two pairs. We also have several other ACF bits and bobs. Have you seen the ACF section on the Forces80 website?

  4. Thought it was a max of 40" waist but then again I have lost a little weight. You could try putting in a gusset (I think thats how you spell it) or alternativly either go on a crash diet (Tried that myself ended up putting on more weight..lol) or use repro lightweights which cover the size you need.

  5. It is exactly the same as the normal Mark 2 windproof n that 84 pattern material that is not as squishable as the 68's. But it has no wire in the hood just the draw cord and just the rank slide on the front. Recently much to my suprise some Mark 2 SAS trousers also have apeared on Evilbay with the cross over belt etc. I did not know that they existed.

  6. Correct - no rank tabs on 'SAS' version only on 'Marine' version as per photos. Any rank tabs on SAS version would be later 'additions'.

One of my friends has a mint MArk 2 windproof smock which I am sure says Smock, Windproof, SAS. It has a draw cord hood and a slide on the front but not the rear. I will get photos in due course.

  7. I have a sniper smock, ex RAF Regiment (RAF Honington).

It has metric sizing and has a partial DPM lining.

There is no manufacturers name, the contract no. is not clear.

    The NSN is 8415-99-1?0-8040.

It appears to have been modelled on a Para smock.

Looking at the material used I thinkthat this one is a later pattern maybe using the 90 pattern material what with the ochre colour on the reverse of the pattern
