With a name like SnowTracDave, you should be the last person on here worried about a few inches of snow!!
Asked for that one didn't I !
ST is trapped in the garage behind a dead Unimog at the moment.....and I think the tracks might get some bit longer travelling that far (they get warm during prolonged use and stretch).
More of a toss up between comfy quick car if the roads are good or not so quick 4x4 truck if a blizzard sets in :-D

Thanks chaps - repair bits & pieces I'm looking for & a set of sidescreens so....as long as the snow doesn't get too deep we should be there !
-
Weather & time permitting we hope to get there . Has the parts situation not improved then ? Was hoping to pick up one or two bits for the jeep .

Had a trip over Amersham way this morning and it was snowing quite seriously by the time I found the place I was headed for , around two inches deep by 10 ish . Coming back was entertaining and occasionally sideways towing my trailer but once on the M25 it became sporadic and after I hit the A12 there was nothing all the way back home . Looking a bit black out there now though .

Fifth generation of the family building firm which was established in 1888 . Work with my brother and two other lads who have been with us for years , we are traditional country builders - a dying breed when the world is full of 'specialists' these days . We tackle virtually anything within the remit of building work . A couple of years back one of our customers remarked that she loved the way we rarely say we can't do something , we just take a look at it , come up with an answer and get on with it .

Anyone know what eventually happened to them all - presumably most will be up and running again ?

If they are in your price range why not go for one of the factory dieselised SUMBS , everything is already sorted for you then .

Really sorry to hear that guys , yours is one of my favourite shows throughout the year and even when I've not been able to show a vehicle there I've visited as an MOP . Look forward to seeing everybody there whenever the next time is . Thanks for all the great BB shows of the past and those yet to come .

When men were men and trucks were trucks!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell_Drivers_(film)
Got this on dvd some years ago - was one of fathers' favourite films which he fondly recalled going to see at the pictures . Still well worth watching now .

Your starter is almost identical to that on my 1936 Series two 10cwt Morris truck so I would suggest Morris although it's quite possible it was fitted to other vehicles too .

Were the results of the previous one put up ? I kept looking but never actually saw them .

Your local Halfords might be worth a look - the one in Colchester used to keep a few in the motorcycle section .

Could be my brothers olf DAF YA but I can't quite make out the reg number to be sure , it went off up your way somewhere when he sold it .

Went , as usual to our village remembrance ceremony at the war memorial in the village centre . Found it quite touching that this year as well as reading out the names of those local lads who lost their lives , the names of the Allied and German fighter pilots who fought and died in the skies over our little bit of England were also remembered .
RIP Uncle Clarry and your crew .
RIP all those who gave their all for us .

Doubtless I will get jumped on for daring to say it - and I've spoken to a number of people who have raved about Skyfall - but , when we went to see it a couple of weeks ago the word which sprang to mind as we walked out of the cinema was - disappointing . And I say that as a lifelong Bond fan , seen and got all of the films (excepting the original Casino Royale of course) and read all of the novels and I believe that Daniel Craig is one of ,if not the best , Bond yet . Maybe when I can sit and watch the dvd at leisure I'll revise my opinion but I'm not holding my breath .

Can't be true......he looks far too young to be a grandfather ......
