  1. Does anyone know if it is possible to trace the history of PW Bundeswehr vehicles ? I have a 1974 Unimog 406 aircraft tractor . I know some of it's life since coming over here & passing through Frank Atkinsons & I have a bit of Mercedes paperwork relating to it but obviously they couldn't offer much info . I'd love to find out a bit more if at all possible . Presumably it would have been operated by the luftwaffe ?

  2. Anybody seen The Casablanca Steps ? Four awfully nice chaps . Sorry......Chaps...... who perform 20's 30's & 40's music whilst in full evening dress they do all the great stuff . You can't beat a bit of Miller though can you ? Had a chat with John after the show at W&P a couple of years ago , another really nice guy . Have been known to sing a bit myself - out with my rock band most weekends (http://www.sadattheclinic.co.uk)when I'm not playing with my toys .

  3. As a Snow Trac nut for some time I've been taking an interest in survivors . Along with Phil Chatfield we've been trying to track them all down . There is one story that around 60 were embarked on the Altantic Conveyor and obviously never reached land again . We understand that there were around 4-6 that did see action on the islands . Anyone have any thoughts or stories to tell on this subject ?

  4. Anybody interested in this one ? Saw the listing on eBay last night - Chieftan 8 years old been used in weapons testing trials £1,500,000 or best offer !

I would but .....well . Item number 200049396308

  5. I noticed recently that Richard Moore hasn't got the T55 based HETT(?) truck listed anymore on the Russian trucks website . Anyone know what happened to it ? Ever since I saw the Poles with the BAT1 at Beltring I've been saving my pennies . That and wondering which bits of my yard really wouldn't be missed too much if they got run over......

  6. Hi all , just joined today having seen the mention in CMV and visited last night for a quick look round before my net connection went once again ! Having lived close to the Fingringhoe Wick firing range near Colchester all my life and watched all sorts drive by over the years I suppose it was inevitable that I would eventually succumb . Many years ago I had a series one 80" which I bought after a nice lady demolished my van with her motor caravan . In more recent times I have acquired a Snow Trac which is ex RAE and very recently the most rotten Unimog in the western hemisphere which is an ex Bundeswehr 406 double cab aircraft tractor . Also in the family my brother has a very nice SUMB and a YA126 .
