Went into WH Smiths in Colchester today to see if I could get myself a copy of either of these- mostly the vehicles mag but no sign despite their magazine section now covering one complete wall . I did do a quick internet search the other night but came up with nothing . Can you advise who the publisher is please so I can try and find somewhere locally I can get a copy ? thanks .

I believe I saw one of these in Bill Simmonds yard at Great Bentley several years ago . That one had the front end forklift and balance weights on the rear wheels (but I could be remembering incorrectly).
I had an M-F 2130 industrial tractor which we bought at one of the last Chilford Hall sales , I think that had the same engine as the one here .

Welcome Tim , you're obviously not far from us - the CSH skip in the yard is a giveaway !That's an interesting collection of working vehicles there - what models are the loader & the M-F vineyard tractor ? . I think Jonny Loot on The Forum can usually supply the tyres you're looking for - assuming you want new ?

Too old.......Too grey.....Too beardie ! HBT overalls , HMVF overalls (yes - I still have mine in pristine(ish) condition or desert camo trousers and tee shirt all depending on weather , temperature , inclination etc !

Nick Johns might be able to help with some info as he had a Mighty Mite at one time .

Great stuff - as always , thanks for taking the time and trouble to video it all and post it up . Don't suppose while you were there you looked at the JCB telehandler ? I can't get up to view this time .

Might not be what you're looking for - we have a friend who does all kinds of portraiture , including pencil sketches , if you are on Facebook look up Brushworks (Ross Baines) or pm me your contact details and I can pass them on to Ross if it's any help to you .

Coming along nicely there Martyn . If you've not sorted it , ChrisG on the Forum here might be able to help or advise on the seal . Also , have a look at the Morris oils website as they are the specialists in products compatible with vintage machinery .

No, but what it does mean Dave is that you are in front of the curve - you have been cutting edge for 35 years and didn't even know it!!!
What makes you think I didn't know it Jack ? :cool2:

Nearly missed it - Happy Birthday Neil , hope it's been a good one .
-
Does it count if you've had one for 35+ years ?

Delivering No.1 son back to Leicester today on our way out we met a low loader on the A12 which was going towards Ipswich and carrying a BV206 in desert sand finish , later on the M1 we passed a military convoy which consisted a 110 front and rear , two MAN trucks and two Oskosh artics pulling fuel tankers , then coming back this afternoon on the M11 we saw a lime green beavertail carrying a turretless Ferret London side of Cambridge and heading north .

Yesterday on the run to drop Mrs ST at the station saw two WMIK's on a low loader heading out of Colchester in one direction , two Pinz's on another loader heading off in another direction and on the return journey ten minutes later, one of the new MAN eight wheeler recovery trucks .

Thank you Clive , I suspected you might have the answer .
Do you know if that equates to RAL 1007 which I think is also (a)Golden Yellow ?
-
I'm sure I've asked this question before but I'm blowed if I can find the answer ! Can anyone advise on the shade of yellow in which airfield ground support vehicles would have been finished . At some point in the future I hope to get the Snow Trac back to it's in service colour . Thanks for any info .

Happy Birthday that man .

My brother has been trying to get in touch with the RTF but his e mails keep being bounced back . Does anyone have a contact which works please ?.

A couple of Munga questions (which possibly I should ask in the I Know I'm Stupid But... section ! ) . Were they fitted with a pioneer rack - not come across one with one fitted as yet but curious to know if they ever were , if they were pics please ! Secondly , in service what trailer would they have been paired up with if at all ?

Heard a Merlin a few minutes ago and went out just in time to have my own personal display by a Spitfire right overhead . Did several turns and rolls over here and across Mersea before passing back overhead waggling the wings and heading off back over Colchester .
Just heard this morning that this was Caroline Grace doing a display over Peldon where the wake was being held for a one time Lancaster crew member . What a wonderful way to commemorate his passing .

Robert has beaten me to it - I'd also recommend Edgeware , always found them very helpful .
