Certainly not quick as a Flash! I note that they are now testing at Milbrook rather than Hurn or Longcross.

What exactly is a "car tax fine"?

Apparently it's got an automatic gearbox! :-)

If you're planning to use this at shows, why not just do the obvious and run it off a pair of batteries?

Shouldn't you sew rather than glue?

It is refreshing that we are still permitted to own armoured vehicles in this country and not have to cut a square of armour out next to the driver. Long may that remain!
At the moment, but I wonder how long that will continue?

No ground connection as such, but the cable braid probably serves that function anyway?

That's them and yes only 1 day course and that use to be 660 pound. When phoned up about it and asked if they would do it for 500 as private didn't want to know and then said they had stopped doing it for now but still advertising it. Then few months later the price nearly doubled. I don't mind paying 500 odd to do it but not in the thousands just a rip off. The cat G will be more of a challenge as not alot places that do it. Essex steam museum used to do it for 580 pound on a diesel but when I contacted them this year they had stopped doing it a while back.
I'm also bemused as to why they make the differentiation between those who do or don't hold an LGV licence. As a holder of both, I don't see that the LGV provides anything helpful for the H test.

I had to Google the NSN to find out what it was, I don't think I've ever seen one of those before. Without any further information I'd be inclined to replace any electrolytic capacitors on the circuit board as they are the most likely cause of age-related failure.

That makes sense - I carefully worked out how to get the Clansman harness working over the existing six core cable to the driver's box. Looking at an incomplete Abbot that had been officially converted to Clansman it seems they had done the same thing, keeping the existing cables and six-way junction box in the turret.

Drop them an email, that usually seems to work although it may take a while for them to respond.

Yeah Svt didn't sound very happy to be honest and never got a explanation about why they stopped training at their centre. Obviously covid a part of it but most training company's are running now but probably can't get the examiners maybe not sure.
Their training and test were all off-road (they'd built a nice circuit with road junctions and roundabout) so perhaps they were hit by the change in test requirements? They also used CVR(T)s, I took my test in a Scorpion.

A shame about SVT, they were where I did my H test.

Sounds like a quick call to the range supervisor was in order to prevent a potentially lethal accident?

That is indeed the 12-pin end. I don't have the other details to hand unfortunately as I'm away at the moment and my notebook is at home.

I still think it would be better just to replace the connector with one that fits. What vehicle is it on?

Is this a duplicate post to the other thread of the same name?

That's the SAE standard and it's been that way for ages, apparently to avoid incorrect polarity. It might be a good idea to just change the connector for one that fits correctly?

I don't suppose anybody has a wiring diagram for one of these stabilised supplies. I have one and it puts out 9.42 vdc on either 12vdc or 24vdc outputs.
Which supply in particular?

Unfortunately, as I discovered in my abortive attempt to build a barn, if the planners don't want you to do something they will stop you, no matter how much logic or common sense you bring to bear.

A shame that it clashes with the postponed Overlord Show, otherwise I'd have come up! 😞

Obvious question perhaps, but do they have a larger/higher resolution scan of the original?
