today's job was to weld up the back cross member fit the back spring hangers start to work my way down the frame replacing all the rotten out rusty parts

first day's work on the next jeep a 1945 willys mb that has come over from America and has stood for a long time i have started at the back and then work forward cut all the scrap off and fit new cross member and A frame had to make the right-hand inner brace as I could only get the other side not yet welded

3 thin coats don't let it day to much between coats and don't paint it when its to hot a day the paint will become powdery looking its hard to tell you how to spray as I don't think about it I just do it keep a cheque for runs don't put in to much thinners and don't put it on to thick remember jeep have lots of corners for thick paint

looking good keep going just fitted my last jeeps engine, body next and all the bits

Had some time this last 2 weeks so started work on my next jeep rebuilt the engine to the point of being able to fit it in the frame along with the prop shaft to the back axle and fitted the deep mud exhaust that i have made from an m38 one

over the last weeks i finished the m5 light tank and then started the m6 high speed tractor have put a model of a willys jeep next to the m6 it was a big machine so next i have a m18 hellcat to finish off

get the other red hot then it will start to move and i fit 8mm button head bolt and hammer over the end then weld up the hex key end then grind to shape or come over between Christmas and new year and i will do it for you

New back floor ready to weld in finished the front gussets then cut and weld panel and step in along with a new inner pylon

some more days working on the jeep body of doom grill, both wings and seats, hood, finished and well on with the body i don't think it is worth doing next I will cut the back floor and I need to order a new back 1/4

A big ask has any one got a panel for under the screen for sale no dealers in the uk have one i can replace it later on

After two weeks of brake downs at the blasters i have it back and its bad needs two tool box tops and a back floor and the screen is bent out of shape and a new bottom panel to the screen i dont think it is worth doing but the owner wonts it seats finished along with the grill and spent today working on the hood then its the wings both need a load of work on them

i have the soft cab that i could fit i have started a Tamiya m5 light tank

loaded all the scrap sorry the jeep body on trailer and off to the sand blasters in Stockport hope to get it back early next week then the work starts

Anther day cutting and grinding

been working on grahams ford gpw body its coming along cutting out all the rot and test fitting the new front floor next its cutting out the old back panel then i will start on the 2 wings, screen, seats, grill, and 2 hoods along with a load of body fittings

the body for restoration is for anther customer i have the body for my jeep need to do the two wings and windscreen will have to look out for late grill as the grill i have is early with no cut out in the top for the hood

To day finished off stripping down the engine and cleaned it painted and its off to engine shop and also took delivery of the next jeep body along with all the bits to be restored a nice ford with wings ,grill ,screen ,hood

only had 1/2 a days work on my jeep finished off the front bumper and made the very late gearbox crash plate and then fitted the late toe hook and just need to remove the last 2 valve guides then the engine can go next week

no i have the real 12 volt from ww2

i have got the ww2 12 volt conversion kit for it as the usmc jeep think i am going to do it green us navy c bees markings
