  8. Hi Andy, the vehicle was stood for a while prior to my purchase and since then my attention as been on other parts of the l/r. but you are correct there was up until two weeks ago a fault on the charging system, which i finally tracked down to the earth connection in the battery box, at best i would only be getting 5amps charge but most of the time nothing, after finding and fixing the fault i now see 40-70amp on the meter most of the time. so yes you where correct in your thinking but the problem was fixed, but still leaves me with the battery problem. 9. Hi Andy well thats good to know, i am in the process of purchasing the dual output pulstech so it will do the two batteries at the same time, the batteries are not completly discharged, one sits aroun 8-9v and the other around 10-11v after standing, the lr is in daily use when i am at home so the batteries do get topped up daily by the vehecle. I do have a pulse charger but it is a very low output milivolts and i have used regular to revive military radio batteries and to date it hasnt failed also use it with my airsoft batteries. Anyway i am away at work until first part of april and then after that i test the dual pulsetech on my gel ffr batteries and post the results on here. thanks for your posts Reagrds Martin www.clansman-radios.com www.clansman-radios.co.uk www.vacation-villaflorida.com

  21. hi clive the ameter is is still connected and working and the radio batteries do charge, the brown and white cable hangs down by the back of the alternator. Martin
  22. Hi Clive sorry for the delay working away and all that, any way the main thick wire is connected to one pin and the brown with yellow trace goes to another separate terminal, there is a brown and whit wire that i assuming is for the dash warning light as this is not working and i am also assuming that it is connected to the same terminal as the thick output wire. what do you think thanks Martin
  23. Well just to follow up took the following to shrewbury dvla v55 filled in with very basic detail, engine, chassis number, colour, model, age the rest i left blank which was most of the form also took mod release form mot issued on chassi number insurrance issued on chassis number and ID i was there for about 15 minutes and all was done i left with a new tax disc and a dvla form so i could have plates made very simple and nothing to be stressed about Martin
