  1. So, 1kv up to 3kv, not inductive but with a degree of capacitive coupling, 1/2" or so dia connector with an earth/grounded casing.

    Is it an evacuated device?

In my world that screams GM tube or photomultiplier... :-D

    Compensating for solar radiation/ionic radiation?

  2. Hi Folks,

Looking for an M101A2 or M116A2 8-stud trailer.

Alternatively a complete drum-braked Sankey Widetrack or a Rapier Chassis.

Asking as I'm doing a down-south-and-back this weekend so ideal opportunity for a look-around. :D

    Alec.

  3. they are identical trailers other than the plain old M101 has different brakes and hubs and only has the twin handbrakes. Body, chassis, axle, suspension etc are identical, as is rated capacity of 3/4 ton. The 5-stud wheels are as per Dodge M37, which is what they were designed to go behind. The 8-stud wheels match the Dodge M880, CUCV Blazer etc. which were some of their designated tow vehicles.

    Hi Mike, that is correct.

    Regards,

    Alec.

  4. Well, after a bit of research I'm definitely looking for one :D

There are two types, one with heavy-duty 5-stud axles designed for behind trucks and lighter duty surge-braked (hydraulic overrun) 8-stud axles.

Please PM if you know of an M101A2 with 8-stud hubs available. :)

    Alec.

  5. Hi Folks,

Going on a southern adventure to the Midlands/bit further next week, wondering if there are any M101A2 trailers on the go that I could either look at to get a real idea of the makeup of them or potentially, maybe, possibly, purchase? :cool2:

    Any info gratefully received, thanks.

    Alec.

  6. FINAL UPDATE

12th November - Order placed for 2x Narrowtrack Canvasses.

Several emails/phonecalls and a letter later over the next couple of weeks, no response.

By good fortune I had paid via PayPal...

29th November - I opened a dispute to try and get a resolution - No response.

6th December - Escalated to a Claim to recover funds...

15th December - Apology received, said that covers had been sent but were held up at a sorting office. Asked if I still wanted the covers, if so they would recover and re-send on Thursday 17th. I replied that I wanted them. "I can assure you covers are being returned to me then I will relabel & get them sent out".

    Request for Tracking Information

The seller responded to our request for delivery tracking information. We

still need to investigate and confirm this information, but we wanted to

share the seller's response with you:

    Tracking Company: Royal Mail

    Tracking Number: 01

This did not fill me with confidence......

    No further contact/response from them.

    27th December - Refund issued

So, all in all, over 6 weeks later I recovered my funds. I shall NEVER order from this amateur outfit again.

    BUYER BEWARE!

    Alec.

  7. My Spidey sense were tripped instantly when I went to their website and it did not give any hint of their bricks and mortar location

    Robin

Oh no, it is there, their address, email and telephone number.

They just dont acknowlege any of them!!!

    Alec.

  8. Any positive feedback on this company??

Well, judging by my current situation I think Classic Military Corner are a bunch of chancers!

Bought two sankey narrowtrack canvasses on the 12th, no sign of delivery, no response to emails or a letter.

Going to try to claim my money back via credit card next!

    Alec.

  9. In summery play safe, use straight 90 in your gearbox and transfer case, EP90 in the axles and straight 30 with no additives in the engine.

    Pete

FULLY agree with the above comment. It's no more/less expensive either!

    Alec
