Hi all,
I am looking for a twin pulley to fit a Lucas A133 alternator.
Were 12v or 12/24v Snatches fitted with A133s, and were they twin pulley? (I have a mental image of the 2nd alternator slung on one side with a single belt?)
What did Tithonus use?

Of interest one of the battlecruisers -either Von Der Tann or Derrflinger was raised just prior to WW2 and remained on the surface upside down with a fouled keel looking like a small green island for the rest of the war -every so often the salvagers pumped some air into it to stop it sinking back.Steve
That was Derfflinger, they hauled it down to Rosyth in '46.
There are three books which cover the topic admirably - The Man who bought a Navy by Gerald Bowman, Cox's Navy by Tony Booth and also Jutland to Junkyard by S.C. George.
Jutland to Junkyard is my favourite, it along with TMWBAN, was collated from the remaining first-hand accounts. From Robertson's flat bar and screws to Cox and Danks winches and air chambers.
Wonderful engineering books and worth a read!!!!
I have read them many times over the years.

Hi Folks,
Anyone have experience of the No.6 Burner as issued to them for a personal cooker? :-)

Looks like burning marks to me as well, someone washing the original bolt/rivet off and giving it a bit too much welly.

Hmm, broad question time, would it be used for communication/identification purposes?

I was thinking along the lines of photographic, but it looks a little too compact for the era.
Could it be said the box contains an accumulator, feeding two devices/connections, actuated by a switch on a wander-lead?
