If I pick a highlight moment for my Beltring it was the British Airborne battle on the Friday. This was the first time we had an all British battle in the arena - no American units - and it was brilliant as far as I am concerned. The scenario was a sort of Normandy drop zone thing, with the Germans kicked out of a hamlet and then the airborne holding out against tougher local counter attacks until the seaborne forces arrived. They even laid on a piper. Quality! It was done with real style - no Hollywood, just drills and it looked fantastic from where I was sitting. I am not in the best of health and I was rooted to the same lump of dirt for much of it and I picked a good spot. So, if any of you chaps on the forum were involved, you have my thanks for a memorable occasion. I took a lot of snaps.....

Thats the logistics sorted then....just a small matter of the readies! Lovely motor. The old War & Peace Muesum of the Ardennea - or Guerre et Paix - if you prefer at Novion Porcienne near Rethel had one of the Unic versions in French army pattern. A beauty.
