Ah yes but we vote them in, don't we! I suppose that is one sort of license :red:
If I had to make out a list of "weapons kit" for the 1980's what would it include
-
Yes we have the idiot problem "down under" too! :-D;)
-
What you fellas don't have to have a license over there foe de act stuff?:shocked: What about blank firing?
-
I think Sir HC was reffering to the RIF act :-D. Each state in Australia has it's own laws governing these things and some are horrific to say the least
-
Thanks fellas was going to point that out :nut: Most things are covered now in Tasmania (at least) with a "militaria" collectors license. As long as I tell them what I have and they are deact then the authourities are cool with it.
Cheers

Whats the RIF act? Sounds like something you'd get on a really "good" night out :wow:
-
Thanks for that! Nice looking vehicle the "Fuchs" May have to buy the model kit instead LOL.

Is there any place I can get some scale drawings of the mag 58 GPMG from. A mate of mine can make up a 1:1 but needs some scale drawings. Can anyone help ?
-
Just wondering mind you, do any German post war vehicles ever come up for sale such as the "Fuchs" for instance :red:
-
I have bought the PE for both the Leopard and the Faun ( the big ED set)
-
very nice...you are truly good! Wish I came as close :red:

Where can I get a 1/35 Landie from....or that Shorland?

I bought the Leopard A5 from Tamiya and the Faun "elefant" by trumpet. That will take care of my lang winter evenings that are coming up
-
Have decieded to go with the Tamiya Leopard A6 and the Faun tank transporter. Should look great together!
-
Looking at building the Tamiya Leopard A5 and the trumpeter Challenger 2, AS-90 and the German Faun Elephany SLT-56.
Has anyone built these? Are they good kits?
Cheers

Thank you Richard.
And under about 30 coats of paint it was DBG, and if Iam in wrong kit....then perhaps you could illuminate me :red:
I have always asked for advice and looked at various photos, I have in no way set out to offend anyone at all. My kit is the 68 pattern..not 85...nor 96
Once again if I have upset anyone it was not intentional
-
I think that it is really up to the individual. But please no Walter Mitty's. I wear my kit as I enjoy doing that, it is also a great way to educate folks. I don't wear medals and feel that if you didn't earn them don't wear them. :-X
A good display is an accurate vehicle, well presented and if you are in uniform make sure that it is correct.....DON'T BE A FARB
That is my two bobs worth anyway!

I wear mine to educate the adoring crowds and to compliment the vehicle. I wear 68 pattern DPMs as climbing into the Fox with my kilt on would not really be very nice :cool2:

Sorry, just liked the green is all. :red: I couldn't just sit there looking at him, so out I went. Once again I apologise if I have upset anyone. At least I have an authentic dent in the right hand front bumper!

Where is the best place on line to find pics of the regular and TA on exercise, BAOR or otherwise during the 1980's? Can anyone suggest a good book maybe?
Cheers

Great pics there mate, I now know how to load up "Basil" when I get him going again
Iam looking at storing mgas bottles there inside the box when we get him gas firing.
-
I have found some pics of the Fox in that colour scheme, they are in QOY in Germany, they also have the running Fox badge on one side. Anyway my lad now is in that deep green colour.
I hope I don't offend anyone with this choice...he does look handsome though
-
Hey all
When were the Foxes painted that lovely deep green colour? I have discovered that mine was that colour many paint jobs ago!
Were they all that colour originally or was it an operational thing?
Cheers
