  1. I must say that the Fox has created quite a stir and when the local vehicles go out, they in turn cause a flutter as well ( even my landie as that is done out as a British vehicle, camo and all):D

Military vehicles are a rarity in themselves down here, it is very good and marvellous to take them into schools and see the joy on the kids faces! Being the only "living" military historian within bulls roar within the state makes it even more rewardfing for me.

    Cheers

PS Sadly being at the bottom of the world  quite literally our kiddies never get see vehicles like Saracens, Ferrets or Centurions which makes it all the more worthwile working to get these into the country and the state.

    Cheers again

  2. I would certainly like to, we are still trying to scrape funds together for a Saracen as well. It all depends on what she who must be obeyed says LOL. As you know it costs us a heap to cross this little patch of water between us and the mainland LOL.

I suppose I could always drive him up there...wonder what the cops would think!

    Cheers

  3. Hey all

It was rather a shock to find out these vehicles were here in Australia....anyway it dosn't really matter. I was interested because they are Foxes and I thought the only Vixen left was in Bovington. Well at least I know where to go if my gearbox goes tits up :-D

I have seen the Scorpion turrets on Fox bodies ( rather Frankenstien don't you think LOL)but never thought they had been operational.

My Fox was last time I looked (6 days ago) halfway down the Suez Canal...he is due in Tasmania on the 3rd of October...does anyone know if they still drain the vehicles and disconnect the batteries?

    Cheers

  4. Okay lads! cost per pennant is 15 pounds. They are happy to do up something for H4H too.

That 15 pds is for a swallow tailed pennant.

  5. I have emailed the Newton people asking about the H4H flags and will let you know what they say. Is there any particular design?? we may need a pic.

I may be half a planet away but would like to help out :-)

    Cheers

  6. I haven't heard back from them yet...bit of a time difference :D! I have asked for the Red/White one pictured earlier in the topic and one done up in 9/12th Lancers...I will then stitch an embroided badge to it.

Lets do something for our fellas fighting the r**g heads , I think a vehicle pennant is a great idea...perhaps a red/white/blue one or one with the Army lion on it perhaps

I will let you know what the flag guys get back to me with.

    Cheers

    Troy :cool2:
