    From the booking form...

    • A £35 facility fee is payable for each military vehicle entry. Each vehicle entry entitles you to two adult passes
    • Extra passes above the 2 adults are available @ £30 per adult, Children are free with an adult (0-15 inclusive).

    • Support vehicles – There will be a fee of £30* for anyone bringing a support vehicle and these will be parked in the designated on-site parking area.

So, I read that as £35 per MV entered - which includes 2 x adult passes, with Children under 16 free... and £30 per support vehicle, with £30 per additional adult not on the MV entry.

I agree with you but that is NOT how it seems to read from Nick JOHNS post.

  2. I have looked again at the online booking form, am I missing what you are say because,

If book my 1st vehicle its £35 FOR 2 adults passes and 2 nippers

I then bring a 2nd vehicle, NO CHARGE but have to pay £30 pounds each for the driver and passenger total £60

Am I not reading something or am I stupid, or have you not understood the booking system.

There was No mention at last years Hop farm show about the previous show command stay to the end or don't enter, it was actually all quite relaxed and hope it will be same again this year, ....also this year you enter just One military vehicle and bring any other MV's for Free !  ..just extra crew/drivers need to buy a wristband for entry,

..The concession for Imps club members free entry has ended,  so may lose some entries through that

I cant see the charges for extra crew,   Im sure they are not going to loose money on this though.......

  4. Its not the condition , people do all  sorts of things to their vehicles, and have every right to do so.

But there is no way the MVT should have dated that as a "45" the glearing thing is wrong engine, trannie pedals,, need I go on. if it I had made that purchase I would asking some very uncomforable questions.......like did the inspector have a whit stick.

Spoke to them at Stoneleigh about entry dates.

The earliest people can get in for marking out is the 19th, but if you do go and mark out a spot you have to stay. They said it's to stop people marking out areas and then turning up for the last few days. The chap we spoke to said if any areas are roped off and left they will take the ropes down.

To be honest i think that depends what your name is......

The new show owners say a lot.......but don't always do a lot.......

I have been in the market a few years now and have bought and sold many a vehicle but never ripped the guts out of the buyer for an extortionate amount of money and always been far. I have a 1944 Dodge WC which I have now had for a year and it cost me £8500. This was last year when most were selling for £10,000 to £12,000. The seller knew the price he could have got but is a genuine bloke who does not rip people off. It was sold to me on the condition I didn't come home and put it on the market for a profit, which I could have done quite easily. What I'm getting at is the fact someone sells one for x amount, then someone else thinks mine better that that and sticks another grand or two on, so on and so on. Lets face it, an everyday run of the mill clean Willy's or Ford, forgetting all the, it's rare and I've got the full history bull. should run at £10k to £12k. When you start getting upwards of £20k and above it's just ridiculous. No jeep is worth that unless you have more money than sense and this is where it all goes pear shaped. I know everyone wants to get as much as possible if they are selling and that goes for anything. But when you can't sell it for a price, common sense should tell you your asking to much but this isn't the case, people just keep putting them up at the same price. A lot of friends of mine who would love a WW2 jeep all say the same, sellers are living in a world of their own. Sell at a profit by all means but don't try and rip people off just because you think it's that amount, if it's not selling then you are asking too much, simple. I have been watching 8 different jeeps on certain sites and they just keep getting relisted, some have been relisted 6 to 7 times, I mean it's not rocket science.

I think you will find a jeep is worth what ever some one is prepared to pay.

Hi All , I am still trying to find a manual for a Polsten quad , I have looked every where but to no avail , I am also trying to find the procedure for taking the Polsten off the trailer , If anyone can help that would be great . Paul

Removing the polsten from the trailer should be done VERY carefully. Its hard to describe how to do it here but you really need 4 able bodied men to attempt it without anyone getting hurt. out of interest what are you towing it with.

Hi gas 44, you might like to check out www.95thbg-horham.com , I am a committee member at this museum. Next year we will be holding a special anniversary over the weekend of 16th and 17th June 2018, to celebrate the arrival of the 95th Bomb Group to Horham in 1943. Hoping for some guests from the States, possible road run to places of interest, 40s dance on Saturday etc, the date is firm but events are to be finalized. The following weekend will be the popular Americana Day with a dance on the Saturday night and Cars etc on Sunday. Open days start on last Sunday of the month from April to October, but always happy to open up out side these times.  All so there is a nice museum at Hardwick, various crash Memorials dotted about the area. Happy to help where I can.  Quentin.

hi that sounds great but our group are already committed over that weekend. But would be delighted to visit your museum on our tour. Thanks

Well, there is one about every 10 miles or so in Suffolk and Norfolk, a few having museums. There are other things with a WW2 history that are not aviation related to see too, if you know where to look!

Hi Adrian, that's the problem I don't know where to look, and was hoping for some local knowledge.............

I thought locals might be able to advise.

    Now Northamptonshire......thats a different matter

Thanks for everyones's input thus far.

  10. Hi i have a small band of MV owners would like to visit some wartime sites around Suffolk?Norfolk,I'm thinking airfields.

I just need some one in that area that could give some advice as to what to see and where to visit.

looking at next year over a weekend, we will drive vehicles and B&B whilst there.

    ANY help would very welcome.

    Thanks

  11. Hi John, Im delighted that you have received such positive feedback. Should the content be half as good as your efforts were for Windscreen then then I am sure that CMV will be twice as good as before....well done.

I made no secret as to the reason for me not buying CMV any more after my yearly subs ceased, mainly due to the amount of repetitive adverts. Could someone please give me some idea as to the situation of this now,I would think that John is best placed to answer this one ;);).....

Again well done for your efforts, you seem to rung some peoples bell..........

  12. On sale in Lidl this week from today a nice compact 6v/12v pulse battery charger with maintain facility. Totally sealed , so waterproof. £13.

I have bought one for a permanent fit into my vehicle. Seems like a good buy.

These do seem a good buy. I cant talk about the 12v side but I have had 2 and neither seem up to much on the 6v side of things.

    I now use a Ctech,dedicated 6v unit...perfect.

Sorry Im not tyring to pee on anyones fireworks just how I have found them.

  13. Thanks, I only checked at the weekend too., and there was nothing there.

Not looking forward to the extra MOPS though due to the whole show being in the holidays. it's been nice in the past having a few days to explore the stalls and watch the demos etc without the crowds!

I agree, Im not keen on it being during school holidays.
