Early Post War Centurion or Comet would be my guess. Does it come with a bolt fitting kit and would the bolts be BSF or UNF?

The tab for the national show has been removed, not having one this year ?
Don't think so, I think the MVT have the idea that a lot of people will be travelling to France which kind of excludes anyone with a Post War vehicle doesn't it.
Tony why don't you ask the MVT directly or ask your local Area Secretary what plans they have for a national show.

With a bit of luck the Vulcan at Woodford should be Preserved

Anyone know what vehicle this Sten gun mounting kit would have originally gone with? Assumed either a late service Daimler Scout Car or an early production Ferret since they would have transitioned over to Sterling SMGs and the 10-magazine holder is clearly marked for Sten mags.
I've had it unissued in the original cardboard package padded with cotton waste for at least 12 years. No description on the carton and no installation documents or other reference as to how it all goes. Almost all of the parts have an "AF" prefixed part number if that helps to date it.
Pretty sure but not 100% that its not Ferret.

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum's Lancaster will be visiting the UK in August this year and carrying out a series of events in concert with the BBMF's one - for perhaps the last time ever people will be able to see two Lancasters flying together!! Full story here:
That will be worth seeing big smiles

Thanks for confirming what we had thought. Looks kinda like a 9x9 from one end, but no end panel on other end, just 2 low level flaps.
Back we got to the seller then, not what we asked for, unless any body want to swap out for a 9x9?
That actually looks longer than a 9 by 9 if it had the frame it would be great.

Those I don't have 240 volts requires a different plug to the ones that I listed

The map lamp plug is the same as the pic on Post 1 of this thread.
Cheers
Matt

Yellow would be very useful in its anti trip properties ie you can see the thing in daylight easier than black cable

Hello everyone
I've bought a 24v penthouse map lamp for the 101. Does anyone have any spare 3 pin cables which they will part with (screw fitting)?
I've also bought a 240v/24v General illumination penthouse set for the shows. It's a great bit of kit. It's missing the 24v DC input cable (6150-99-901-4833). Any spares about? (save hacking into one of the interconnection cables)
Thanks
Matt
Any pictures of the missing plug as in where it would plug into

The insurance company on the back of the MVT mag doesn't even say that it insures military vehicles?

Didn't Libya have something to do with Malta in the eighties - nineties (politics).
That might be the reason the battledress is in Malta??

The worst buy that I had was a Land rover or should that be a rust rover the front lower shock absorbers were held in place with three inch nails. I must have been blind when I buying it

I wa wondering whether these were converted from Cromwells.
I wonder how the wife would like the idea of a turret in the back garden?:angry
Grandson would love it, I'm sure!
To have a big enough garden to do that it would have to be able to be powered up
-
Good luck or should that be good luck Rick enjoy the rebuild.
If the restoration is as good as the previous one your onto a winner. All you have to do now is find someone who wants a turret as a lawn ornament

Its a sports car (ha) two seater only. I do remember seeing Antars CET motoring at Weeton last year

Mark, just so you get a feel of speed and similar weight, here is youtube link of my Junior working at probably a similar weight to your proposal
Much to others argument you are correct there is no minimum speed limit for a motorway, I have been stopped by the traffic police a number of times mainly to take a picture! And I asked the same question each time ,was I too slow.
Good luck with your venture.
After I watched the video at the end it had this below quite appropriate

already got another 3 ww2 tank projects lined up
Rick this military stuff gets right under the skin no golf this year then lol

I thought that they had to have some kind of mark on them to show that met EU rules and if they were imported after a certain date the importer could be prosecuted.
Suspect no is the answer to your question

It's not just a question of how long it would last. The Diesel engine is slower revving so the diesel gearbox input module is geared differently to give the same top speed. I believe David Brown will convert a petrol one to a diesel for you at a cost of £58000.
Chris
Just £58000 I'll dip in my pocket and see what loose change I can find
Still worth a punt on for someone they just might have to wait a while for gearbox to turn up

Footman James I have my Ferret and RB44 on the policy and they are insured for where I park them at the farm and at home.
