Nice, amazing what can be done nowadays.
When I was young in the stone-age we had to use ocre and the tail of a sabretooth tiger as a brush.

After buying the British painted steel book and having walked in Arromanches on June 6th as a RAMC member I got inspired to make some more British helmets.
The shells are postwar and were given a coarse structure with a few brushed on and a few with a even coverage.
The markings and camouflage patterns were hand painted. What do you think of these?

I would avoid pressure wash to get salt out. probably best to let it soak in fresh water and rinsing.
Pressure wash could push salt water deeper or am I mistaken?
Hopefully the Jeep and Dodge didn't suffer too much from its swim.

Wow, that's just cool!

Just a post to thank James and Amdy (IIRC) for allowing me on board of their Ford Lynx on Arromanche beach.
Also a big thanks to Mark for the ride in his bren carrier!
You guys are amazing!

Hi Gerlof Its best to ask this in the Pre WW2 category.
-
Amazing items. Especially the jacket. How did it survive the decades and moths?
-
Being a Dutchman I am saddened I can't sign. Especially since I know BEF veteran and Dunkirk evacuee Jeff Haward MM personally and have transported him at a Dutch commemoration in the Dodge.
-
Again, amazing workmanship.

Being a hobby helmet restorer myself I must admit you're donig a good job there.
-
I like those led lights. What a difference that must make.
