  1. Is this the one which was sat ar Dallas Autos? If so I had a sneak peek at it this week. Interesting mix of Od and yello but looked to be quite nice.
  2. Amazing! I'd be interested in getting some more info and copies of photos just to start putting together a file. Do you know any history before you? Did you do any renovations or paint, apart from the markings? Basically anything that can help put together a history. Also looking at the Jeep when you had it, it seems to have some changes, obviously paint, tyres, wheels. Did you sell it with the camo net, if so I still have this? data plates? Anything you can remember basically! Kind Regards Charlie
  3. PM'd you. Great news, looking forward to gathering more history! Very interesting as its certainly had a couple of paint jobs, OB to British Green to strange green. But i don't think it's changed for a long time. Kind Regards Charlie
  4. Was passing Dallas Autos today so popped in. Ended up buying a few bits I didn't intend too but sorted the axe and shovel.Charlie
  5. All the straps and clamps are there just missing the things themselves. Thanks though!
  6. Hi There,Just following on from my recent Mb/GPW purchase does anyone have matching axe and shovel that they could supply? Thanks in advanceCharlie
  7. Also...I do have the wing box and first aid pouch.
  8. Well new plates it is then... Also going to send off to Deepcut to see if I can get it's records. couple more pics for you all.
  9. I have just been reading and apparently I can use stamped black / silver plates as the vehicle was first registered 21/07/72? Black / silver plates would certainly make a difference.
  10. Morning All, Nice to have some positive feedback. I'm certainly enjoying jeep ownership having wanted one for so long. I certainly have no plans to change it, it has been well cared for and much loved by it's previous owner and I aim to do the same. The only thing I want to do is to re-register it with age related plates as I don't like the standard white and yellow ones. I'm sure I will have plenty of questions going forward and I look forward to chatting! Charlie
  11. Morning All, Thought some you may find some of these images of interest, quite impressive up close. Just come back from a couple of weeks in France which included Bastille Day in Paris. Although I missed the actually parade as they closed the Metro station I did find a nice spot to see the mobile units come past. This included both regular as well as Foreign Legion as you'll see. My personal favorite is the wheeled Tank which seems to be crewed by the catering staff! Also the huge APC 'Saint Louis'...it was a beast. Enjoy And nice to see a Land Rover
  12. here she is in better days http://miliblog.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/creative-ideaz-gallery/creativeshow.php?pid=1691 http://miliblog.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/creative-ideaz-gallery/creativeshow.php?pid=1692 C
  13. she's currently rested up near Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire.
  14. Unfortunately I haven't got room for the gates let a lone the Scammell. Not sure who the owner is but it's parked up with an assortment of trucks. It certainly hasn't moved for a while but looks to be in fairly good condition. I can probably find out more if anyone is interested.
  15. Saw this recently whilst looking round a local reclamation yard
  16. Afternoon, Anyone else had problems with colour change on a PVC Wolf Tilt? Although it was mostly fine when I got it in the last few weeks its dramtically gone brightish green on the top...almost looks like a coating has come off. Are these treated / can they be repainted? Anyone got a replacement? REeards Charlie
  17. Morning All, This may be of interest to some but I've now had the history back on my Wolf 90 which I received in March. As you can see its had quite a varied history and went off to Afghanistan in January 07 which probably explains why it was so full of sand and why also that instead of a reconditioned engine it seems to have had a new one. This also means that luckily it's very free of corrosion. Anyway since I've had it it's been serviced, cleaned and I've replaced some worn, damaged and missing parts (bumper / light grill / brake servo / spare wheel / tool kit etc) but other than that it hasn't needed much. The only thing now is whether to keep original or restore to original condition. My feeling is that as most of the 90 fleet is now being cast I should keep as is. Anyway thanks for looking. Charlie
  18. Sorry to step in on this thread...how do you apply for a merlin report...would like to do the same for my Wolf which was cast in December. Regards Charlie
  19. The veteran is now road legal...still a few teething problems, steering wobble on bumpy roads and window rattles but nothing I cant fix...I hope. Underneath the mismatched body panels the chassis and most of the mechanical bits look very new. I've so far managed to get a lot of the sand out but I still keep finding larger accumulations. The dash will have to come out at some point for a clean but otherwise I think it's in very good condition...Had a good outing this weekend in the sun and it's a joy to drive after the 90 2.5n/a
  20. I spoke to soon...not quite as easy a fix as first thought, electrics are playing up but getting there. Still hope to have it MOT'd on Monday and on the road for next weekend. Even then there will be still lots to do. Before the service was tackled she was given a bit of a clean...top to bottom.... Roll Over!
  21. All sorted a very easy fix, amazing what a couple of fuses and a few relays can do. Started first time, no smoke, no odd noises and I may have been very fortunate as it looks like a new engine has been fitted, not even a reconditioned one but a shiny new one. So next week steam clean to get rid of the sand and dirt and then an MOT.
  22. OK some good news...It looks like before someone in Afghanistan lost the keys a new 300TDI lump put in. It's now running and sounds lovely, fired straight away, no smoke. BUT Had to bypass the ignition as most of the switches and relays both in the cab and under the bonnet (in the black box) are missing. Can anyone send a pic or layout for fuse box and the relays under the bonnet for a Wolf? I'm guessing this is different as it's a 24v system OR is this the same as a standard 300 TDI Thanks for your help in advance
  23. It's my second MOD Landy in 2 months so getting used to them...took a while to work out the 'Convoy' setting on my 2.5N/A....spent a few hours signalling madly with my arms! Looking forward to getting this one up and running....
  24. Thanks for the advice...I've been an admirer from a distance so I'm certainly new to ownership of MV so why not start at the deep end! Having owned a fair few vehicles in my time I'm fairly familiar with the evilbay and in the short time I've had this one it does seem that a lot of bits are available...anyway should know by 4pm if it's going to start!
