    following morning.

Never seen such a complete set up. It has been lent to me today to photo for intrest. Your bag is second from the bottom, which is full with head set, leads etc. hope of intrest, I've taken loads of pic's.

    Regards Airportable.

A signaler carring the A41 has to carry his webbing as well as the radio.

So where is his mess tins, washing kit, etc to go? Try getting the frame over the kidney

    pouches.........

I think that it is for these items, I seem to remember it that way.

  4. As to request in Post 7; This is the A11 Infantry Tank Mk1 Matilda 1 after it had been extracted from its

resting place on the range at Otterburn. The date is June 1988. After 5 years work the tank was in

a restored running condition, it is part of the running fleet at Bovington.

  5. I remember seeing this brilliant film first time round in I think 1967.

It got me thinking then, however it was not the Guards for me.

Thanks for providing the means to see this again.

It is a film of its time and should not be judged by 2010's attitudes, be they right or wrong.

  6. Vintary

Can you tell us more about these two photos ?

Am I correct in thinking that the RR had a replica armoured car body fitted for the film Lawrence of Arabia ?

Now it is back as a motor car?

What happend to the replica body ?

    Very interesting.................

  7. This is photo taken at the A F Budge Gamston depot about 1996. It is a Cruiser Tank Mk 11 or 11A.

They were manufactured 1938 - 1940 and in action with the BEF and in North Africa.

To me and others it is a A10. Originaly it was at Pirbright now long gone for scrap................
