    Thanks for the info gents, I was thinking more along the lines of if a Willys MB is missing its chassis tag (the one behind the bumper) & Data plates (on glovebox) is there somthing else that can be used for registering it?

    Just wondering if anybody can help with this. What would be the pit falls of buying a Jeep with no data plates or chassis tag. Is the number stamped on the chassis somewhere, is there some other way of registering it or would have to go on a Q plate. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Adam

    Thankyou, if I bleed the whole system is it the normal thing of starting with the cylinder furthest away from the master cylinder?

    I'm replacing the front wheel cylinders & brake shoes (thankyou Mr Morter & Mr Gaine). Just a thought on fluid, do I need anything special or will regular Dot 3 do. Thanks Adam

    You could also try Totec tyres. They import MRF tyres (NDMS Bargrips). Don't forget to get the right bead angle or they can be a sod to get on. Adam

    Yesterday. Convoy on the M6 Toll (MOD's got more money than they let on) including 4/5 wolfs with trailers, 4/5 4 tonners with getsets in tow, 3 drops with loads & 2 Oshkosh artics & tankers. All heading north.

    Unfortunately when I took the head off part of the gasket was stuck to it & the rest to the barrel. thanks for the link, I managed to find that site a couple of days ago. Its nice to see that not everybody tries to charge an arm & a leg for pdf manuals. If there are any gaskets available I would like one please.     I have just bought a BSA 300w charging set. Its complete & looks good. It didnt have a spark but that was just the points. One of the valves was stuck so I free'd it off, But now I need a Head Gasket. Does anybody know where I can get one. I have heard here is somebody over Norwich way but dont have any details.

    Your right about the campfires (they're banned), just checked my letter. From the map i've got it looks like camping is next to the land warfare museum. Didn't know if there was anything planned for the evening that was all.

    I'll be there with my little Bedford. It will be the first proper show I have been to with it. Does anybody know if there will be anything going on saturday night or will we be all round the campfire singing songs?

    Thankyou very much, hopefully changing that will cure the problem then. Alot cheaper than what I was going to do ie; dynamo & regulator. Think I need to get a manual!

    My MWD isn't charging. I looked in little box that houses a link fuse in front of the regulator box. The fuse wire on this link is broken, could this be the reason for the loss of charging and also does anyone know what size the fuse wire is. Any help would be appreciated.

    MW with wooden body but no rear tilt, on the back of a lorry going west on the A14 near Thrapston. It looked tidy from the glimpse I saw & a CVRT also on the back of a waggon heading north on the M6. Also a bunch of Hagglund bv206s in a yard on the A38.

    Thanks for the welcome. I will get some pics up when I get it home. Before that it is being used to carry one of the previous owners on his final journey next week. It was his wish to be carried in the type of vehicle he used when he served in the second world war.

    Hello everyone, I have been interested in military vehicles ever since pampers lost my business. I got as to work with them whilst I was in the REME TA. I have just purchased my first vehicle which is a 1941 Bedford MWD. Suffice to I will be bugging people with my idiotic questions for a while (sorry). I would of liked to have bought a restoration project but this one came up and it has a nice history to it, so I couldn't turn it down. Thanks again Adam
