Yikes! just in time then :-)
-
Just read it, looks good, well done.

Oh by the way a good tip....
If you get an old Wolf soft top, cut the back section off and it makes a really good fume curtain with a window in place, my Wolf gets really toasty in winter with it in place.

I've got the instructions somewhere.
Fitting to a standard Defender would be problematical as mentioned above. Are you fitting it permanently?
Every year I fit mine for winter and after 5 years I think I can say I can do it without murdering someone. Its a pain in the a**e but they do make it cosier. Having said that mine is a soft top which they werent really designed for.

I'd like to go but the Jeep wont be ready, a few of the Oxon/Berks MVT guys are going.

Look forward to seeing you Rosie.
Jack is that itiniary the MVT one or another? It looks great!
-
I've booked onto the MVT group, first time for me and looking forward to it.
-
Sounds great Ray, it will come around quickly I think.

I can see one or two vehicle/outfit specific threads on normandy 2014 but unless I'm missing it not a general one open to all?
It would be useful to know who's planning what and who can attend. I believe there is an MVT trip but I cant see details. I would really like to take my Jeep as part of a larger group.
Is anyone aware of planned events where the requirements aren't very strict eg - Only British vehicles or only American clothing etc.
-
Hope so, its one less hurdle as I'm losing the will to live with all the paperwork :-X

Welcome! Love the CMP and LC.
Yes its snowy here but I like that :-D

If a vehicle has been imported I thought form 386 (I think thats it) covered import fees showing theyve been paid. Is vat on top of the import fees a new hurdle?
-
ah ok misread. Yes I've used the Halogen headlight bowls with integral sidelights.
My MOT station down the road has an employee with a GPW Jeep so thats all good.
-
Oh pants do I still need an MOT? I tried to find this out and assumed not, bummer.
Indicators really? Fortunately I have put them in the BO markers so no problems but I'm suprised this is needed on a 1942 vehicle.

Thanks Tony sounds very good.
Something have always wondered for ages can you see a list of registrations and pick one? I bet not

Good advise Tony, a trip it will be I think. Reading branch closed
so off to Oxford when I'm ready. I need to chase the age verification chaps.
10cwt GS / Mortar Trailer
in Trailers, plant and equipment
Posted
Hi guys. I bought this trailer at the weekend, it has a Mortar/Ammunition handbrake so its probably one of those or possibly a GS with different handbrake, no data plate:(
It was meant to be solid and unmolested but sadly its been cut and lengthened at the front and has some rust, its restorable but the drawbar has been welded slightly out of true. I bought it anyway for the axle and wheels and some other bits in the deal.
Does anyone have a GS chassis or complete project for sale? Worst case I may decide to restore this one as I think they're a bit rarer.
With all the junk added on -
With most removed.
