  1. Nice pictures Anthony May I use them at my register, credentials to the author will be included. Michel http://www.afvregister.org
  2. That first Vc is also, like the one in Mopertingen (the 4th one), a monument for the American liberators, so t has to look like an American Sherman and this was their choise. The second and third Vc is one and the same Sherman, now located at the camp of Marche en Famenne. Michel
  3. And more This once was a Sherman Vc A M4 Hybride Vc The famous M4 in Wibrin michel www.afvregister.org www.afvregister.org/M7B2/index.htm
  4. Some more from Belgium The sign says its a M4A4(76), but thats wrong. This Sherman Vc looks a bit better now The same Vc Michel www.afvregister.org http://www.afvregister.org/M7B2/index.htm
  5. Indeed the Belgian Iltis is officialy a Bombardier build by Vw at the Vorst plant, politics you know. If you look at the pictures of the Belgian recce team, you can see that the rear Iltis has the Milan in traveling position so has the one in front, second picture the same. When in use the milan is on its support on top of the roll cage http://armesetmunitions.skyrock.com/ the thirth picture gives a idee how it is. Michel
  6. Thanks for that link, every bit helps Michel
  7. It's a simple task, for now I've got a field in the database for that purpose. As the situation is now it points for all the M4, M4A1 etc to a field Sherman, the derivates have their own field (M7, M7B1 and M7B2 point to the M7 field and so on). The only change I've got to make direct all those pointers to the Sherman field. If you select then the Sherman family, you'll get all the shermans in the database. My question in this is, witch vehicle is a member of that family, all the M4's offcourse further M7, M10, M12, M32, M36, M40, M43, M50, M51, M74, Grizzly's and Ram's, at last M2 and M3? Michel
  8. Well my database is already online, it doesn't cover only Shermans but all the armour. A option to narrow it down to one family of vehicles is underway. Michel www.afvregister.org www.afvregister.org/M7B2/index.htm
  9. Seems your wright about those two. Michel
  10. About a year ago I started working on a database of surviving armoured vehicles. Up until now I have recorded about 7200 vehicles worldwide:???, yes I know thats only a fraction of what's out there, and about 1400 pictures of them. Some of the great dark spots in it is the UK, Holland, Germany, Italy, Austria ( have I to go one?).... So if anyone feels the urge to help me :. thanks Michel www.afvregister.org www.afvregister.org/M7B2/index.htm

  13. A few years back i made a list off the surviving shermans in Belgium. It isn't up to date anymore, but the most of them are still at the same location. The adres is http://www.afvregister.org/M7B2/Belgie.htm. A more up to date list (not only Shermans) is the document I've created with Neil Baumgardner: http://www.afvregister.org/The%20Belgian%20Historical%20Afv%20register.pdf Michel for those of you who can't wait Sherman Vc M4 Composite another M4 Composite another Sherman Vc www.afvregister.org www.afvregister.org/M7B2/index.htm
  14. I won't be surprised if the total would rise above the 1500 survivors. At this moment I have around 900 Shermans and direct variants (without the M3's) at the AfvRegister and it only covers the US, Canada, France, Belgium, Polen and a small part of the UK, Holland and Germany. A swift look at Hanno's country list I'm missing 400 - 500 Shermans from the other country's and then add the unknown .... Michel www.afvregister.org www.afvregister.org/M7B2/index.htm
  15. I know this tread was started long ago, but those aren't Priests. Drivershatch on the wrong side 25Pdr gun so that makes it a Sexton. Michel
  16. Hello all I'm Michel from Belgium, I don't own any military vehicle, but as NCO at the Belgian Army I have some experience with them. As the project leader of M7B2 Priest restoration project I did learn a lot off those older vehicles. The project is almost finished but there is already an other project waiting. Further I'm intrested in programming so I did create the http://www.afvregister.org/home.aspx website where I try to register al sorts off afv's preserved around the world, started it last summer so its not complete and probably never will be (to many afv's, to many country's and to little time). Michel
