  1. that inverted one , is that not a copy? noo opening were the cooling duckts are , and wy ropes on it to keep it there ? Its own weight should keep it there , prop is also broken of in one piece , and no bent blades ?

  2. As an answer to Supertrack , I never put the whole drive on a scale , but the 4 ton Forklift (not on the pictures) is strugling (its like power steering if I lift the driveline)

there even goes about 160 liters of oil in the whole thing , so that has to be added to the weight as well in the end.

  3. pre war vehicles had red and white painted nuts as wel, On early Morris and Bedford pictures you can see white nuts , So by looking at aeroscreen 15cwts most have white painted nuts , but by the introduction of the full windscreen , the white painted nuts have disapeared , so somewhere in 41, they must have stopped .

  4. I personally prefer the closed cab . It looks the part . And as mentionned before on hot days it is comfortable with windscreen open , and to lean elbow on door for comfort .

They are also easyer for getting in and out of . Seen somebody this September getting out of his open cab , and his foot stayed just behind the door arch , and landed on his face in front of an audience. :-D

And you don`t have to buy expensive canvas.

  5. Usually if it is a 41 model , then the fixed doors and full windscreen should already be installed .

If the body sides can be folded down half ways , then it is still possible to be an aeroscreen one . First fixed door bedfords were converted Aerosreen versions.

  6. Depends on what people want to pay , there was a dingo sold this summer for €10 000,- and a real nice one for €12000,- , so they went up , because when I started with the hobby a nice Dingo went for 2,500 Pounds.

CMP`s make money when they are done up good , but unrestored ones don`t fetch a lot.

  7. The rear idlers are also used to drive the propellors via timken diff housing.

Orriginally they had another set of Sprockets fitted on them , but because the tracks kept jumping on them they were removed , they discoverred that the tracks would annyway not slip on the rear idler because if they were in the water the weight of the tracks hanging unsuported at the bottom would prevent them from slipping.

  8. The firefly Generator is almost assembled , just carburettor , and electrics in instrument pannel have to be installed , the generator for the M4A4 with the cilinder at the bottom has only the dynamo bit the same , and crank with piston , pictures will follow soon .
