  1. after and befor so scammells do have brakes:shocked::-) all done know and been out on a road test:-D
  2. He did bend the inch and quater bar !! Yes he busy doing the living van brakes next weekend !!!:cool2:

  4. It has only been 12 years so i thought it was time to do the brakes. My boy is helping me so he knows how to do them when im to old:D

  9. i changed the gearbox in mine and it still whinned in 6th. thats how i ended at looking at the clucth. i put it down to the torce in 6th making the clucth whinne.
  10. will take a picture this weekend. i have been giving a caravan but i need a alde 2920 boiler for it does anyone know where i can get a second hand one from.
  11. mine whined like hell in 6th and it was the clutch center rivets worn on mine put a new clutch in and stopped the whining:-D
  12. the fan has been on there for ten years and has run at 180. the last 2 shows i have been to it is running at 200+ and when you stop. the fan is easy to turn the same as when cold. there is no oil leaks on the fan. so what would that nut with like a bolt on the inside be for.
  13. hi i have a volvo fl7 viscous fan on my truck and when it gets hot you can still turn the fan easy the same as when its cold. there is a nut on the viscous would that tighten it up:confused::confused:
  14. hi the bearing is a L-11V2 and come from express bearing (the easy one) the seal was a bit harder to find seal was 960310A new one was 960305A a bit smaller on the ID by 1.5mm but it seems ok. And come from barnwell. thats not a leaky hub seal thats all the oil from the transfer box(you should have seen the cars that was following me):cool2:
  15. went to a canford park show got there on friday night and had a lot of oil over the back of the truck and trailer. checked it on sunday(had to have a few beers on saterday) found the transfer box a bit low. so topped it up and drove home. took it apart last weekend with the help of a ten ton jack and a ten ton puller. and found the back bearing and the seal had gone past there sale date:-(
  16. hi have been working to hard and havent had time to work on the truck:cry: so put new battierys on and took it for a spin:-D my boy will soon be big enough to drive it or put blocks on his feet:cool2:
  17. no. i know of explorers that have run without oil pumps.with no problems.
