  4. when i was suspend towing the spare explorer back on a holebone that was a bit long you would get rearwheel steering if you dident get the lift right. mind you it did have two leyland 680 up on the back of the spare one:cool2: but once i got the lift right 30mph all the way with just a few interesting places:-D

  13. A few years ago my timing wheel came off and the timing went out. When I put it back on the wire over lapped on the drum. What is the best way to solve this ? Is the best way to pull the whole wire out and start again or could I get away with pulling it out to where it overlapped and then retime it from there - is this possible ?:confused:
  14. YSY249 had the same with his air tank he got a air tank cut the ends off both and welded his ends on the other tank:cool2:

Hi Andy - do not get rid of the dirt !!:nono: When I took the bottom of my diesal tank skin a few years ago and cleaned out a wheelbarrow full of dirt between the diesal and the outer skin, the diesal tank decided to leak so my good friend GPS welded a new bottom in for me. Leave the dirt on the scammell, its probably whats holding large bits of it together:cool2:

  18. I have took the roof off and have found more rust:argh: The more I remove the more rust I find. Still got the front panel and the other side to do, not going to do the back as there is only a bit of rust at the bottom, that will be done when I replace the wood on the back body (not this year, not that kean) - thought old trucks were built to last, its only us mad people that make them last by doing all this work to them:cool2:
