  1. I know this has been asked many times and there is a post of a very simalar name that lists 3 pdf files that have been written on this subject, however when I selected the links it did not give me the PDF files but gave me the same screen redisplayed.

I checked the download section and they were not there either.

Does anyone have a copy or have links to the documents?

"This has been covered many times before. Clive has prepared some excellent documentation on the subject:

I have attached a picture of my Spartan in case anyone just wants to name that shade.

  2. I was not really aware of these shows and no one did a comparison.

I would be interested in people’s opinions about the different shows as yet I have only been to war and peace, as it’s not “that” far from me. But if there is something ‘better’ out there efforts could be made to attend

  3. Going back to the subject reflections on war and peace, several people talked about other shows, I noticed tanks, ,trucks and firepower running this weekend. As I am out of the country I am unable to attend but it s this the ‘other’ show people in the thread have been talking about?

  4. Let me say right upfront I have a vested interest, thanks to a previous video By Bassets I became an instant utube hit with over 30 likes...

Thank you for the video I was able to show my long suffering wife what W&P is about, she has even said she will think about coming next year

Result as she has the purse

  5. Was down on Tuesday, nice meeting all sorts of people with lots of vehicles. Shout out to Chris and his dad, thanks for the tips...

my second visit so no veteran yet

only downside is the cost, paying £600 to bring my  Spartan down was a little rich this year and paying to bring it in as well , won’t be showing every year.

Attended 2 local events and the amount of support was overwhelming even free food and tea.... even a little towards fuel, didn’t have the heart to tell them it wouldn’t have covered  the cost of warming her up..

  6. I had 2 packages form DVLA, one was the V5 the other was all the documents I had sent in, and arrived 2 days apart.

MVT dragged their feet but DVLA only rejected my application once. Once I got the reject letter (because of proof of age) I called the person who signed the reject letter and had a chat. She told me exactly what she wanted, which I provided and got it sorted within 10 days that second time.

only took me 4 months to get together the proof everyone wanted, as it was a private sale and had NO documentation with it when purchased

  7. I have been very tardy,

Thanks to all concerned I did get my registration document. A vehicle history record from Bovingdon, MVT released a document confirming the vehicle in question was a Spartan and DVLA issued a V5.

First issue sorted, next issue is how not to cheese off everyone on the roads as I drive around learning how to drive this 10ton monster :) such fun

  8. Any person acting like that for me would have been shown the door very quickly. Having said that I only had 2 dealings with them. The first was a viewing of 4 CVRT’s which were wrecks, but the guy escorting me was friendly enough. The second was buying a CVRT drivers chair, which had a crack in the runners which they failed to mention or show.

Hi Lance, I think you have just answered your own question! The glue will not stand up to the riggers of the wheel action and the track.....but you can always spend the money on the glue and proves us all wrong, Cheers Andrew.

Hi, I am talking about a replacement  (thanks Chris)so looks like I might be trying glue as an experiment. I wondered as there appears to be some “glue” on the rim and knowing how ‘inventive ‘ people can be. Of course this may have been stuck on in a previous life which is why it failed now

    Cheers

  10. Hi,

they have had 4 cvrt’s for the last 8 weeks (or about that) so yes as one lot end the next starts. I did try to find out more about numbers and types but got nowhere. Another rumour I heard at the pub that some are being brought for export, driving prices up.. but I had a few by then

  11. Hi Everyone,

Had a great day at the military day at Booker airfield, however when driving home one of the "rubber" outers on the road wheel became separated from the wheel. I recovered the rubber and rather than buying a new one thought about gluing the rubber back on to the wheel...

Has anyone done this before and knows it works, or worse knows it doesn't?

I am planning to use a road jack to lift the wheel free of the track place glue on both surfaces and then force the ring back on the wheel. The glue is one of the 2 part jobs available at all good hardware stores. Am I being silly?

    Cheers all

yes i agree better ones have gone for scrap!

But there are final drives avalable from dealers, and if you are not in a rush parts turn up!

Any idea what teh hammer prices have been - i note there are four sultans up for sale at the mo.

I did enquiry about these CVRT's and have watched the quite closely. The prices are going up started at around £2,500 but Friday's one went for £6,500. It's hard to see exactly what may or may not be there but Brightwells say there is no on site viewing. I did catch some CVRT's at Walthums and they varied so much, some had been stripped bear and exposed to the elements for years and were full of water. Others actually moved under there on steam, but that was then.

    I hope that is helpful

X- mod surplus had the short pipe from the gearbox to bulkhead at one stage. I made my stick from two engine ones and cutting and joining, works fine, can get the measurements if you need them. You can always check your stick is at the right level  by putting in the exact quantity of oil for the gearbox from the manual, as a double check, to the marks on the end of the stick ,cheers Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

I would appreciate the measurements and if its anything but straight a picture to.

I did think about checking the level after putting in the correct amount but the it’s only just been filled up so was saving that till I do an oil change.

    Hi Gents

    FYI

I've just uploaded 2x Documents for CVRT (D) Spartan

They could well be useful for much of the CVRT (D) variants

For my vehicle, I've just dealt with a bad case of Diesel Bug so if you have any questions about how to go about adding in a pre-fuel filter with a primer pump you can actually reach, give me a shout.

In other news I've just had the steering calipers reworked and next up are the three master cylinders. if anyone has advice or tips for the MC's it would be most welcome.

    All the very best

    Muzzer

I have found the documents and have downloaded them...… Thank you...

My reading has been sorted for a while

    Lance

Below is me not trying and I am sorry for that everyone... as penance I will take my Spartan to a charity event this Saturday for free

    Booker Common, High Wycombe

Hi, where did you upload them to, as I am still working out my wat around this site?
