Also a Landy getting into the picture.

I do not think he will have a problem as the vehicles are being gifted to Ukraine. So not money to change hands.

I wonder how Brightwell's and Witham's manage?

When you are building the air pressure up, the gauge should start to climb, get part way up falter and drop back a bit as the distributor valve starts to fill the secondary tanks them resume its climb until it gets to full pressure. Blaming the warning lights and buzzer straight away is a bit like shooting the messenger sometimes.

Condolences to Tomo's family. He will be a great miss on this site as well. Good luck with finding someone to take his project forward.

This day in history the starting gun was fired by the German Army on what became known as the Battle of the Bulge. A last gasp attempt planned by Hitler in the west to cause havoc in the Allied lines and reach the coast. Later in the month would come operation Nordwind an operation in the Alsace region of France to try to cut off General Patton's army in it's push to join the fight further North. Both operations would ultimately fail in their objective with terrible casualties on both sides. There would be many acts of heroism and dogged determination to hold the line, or slow the retreat down. As well as acts of barbarism before this operation was concluded and called off.

If you disconnect one switch and the buzzer and the light go out, I would reason that either that tank is not getting up to pressure to open the switch or the switch is faulty. You need to do a check on the tanks to see what pressure they actually achieve.

Has yours got the small air tank on the N/S front chassis? If so does it have a pressure switch?
-
That is a hard world to be in, best of luck.
-
If you take the wires off the switches one at a time do you still have the problem?
-
This is beginning to look like an electrical fault, a cable has gone down to earth,
-
It was usually compressor belts or blower shafts. I cannot remember changing a fuel pump. I can still hear the bark.

Have you done a pressure test on the tanks to check what actual pressure is in each one. Just a point when working with air at pressure it only takes 5 psi to breach your skin and cause an air bubble in the blood stream which can be fatal. So be careful. Always wear gloves. Have you tried lifting the air a small amount?

Some times l come across a trial that you wonder why in this case they a took a lorry designed for use on tarmac road and then subject it to a trial on a rough off the road course for over five thousand miles then produce a report of over two pages of defects all caused by the treatment on the course
With the two silencers it looks like a stroker.

Find the tank drains and see if any air comes out.

Is It filling all of the tanks?

Another cheap or free pick me up is music, modern music has passed me by. Story songs give you something to think about, the likes of John Farnam, Men at work, and others with some good sounds Chris Rea etc something with some life. Even old Nasty Door Mouse. I have checked the grey file's, Nessus Dorma.

Could have been worse it could have been a Thornycroft with air swirl guides on the inlet valves.
