  1. Me Nigel Bartlett in my trusty Leyland Hippo!! Along with my much better half Rachel and our young son Samuel !(30 mths) We spent most of the time near the back watching the convoy snaking through the lane's of the lovely Dorset country side! What a FANTASTIC weekend we had, Credit has to go to the organisers for pulling off such a unique event with out any problems or toe's being squashed!! As they say it would be hard to beat it by doing a repeat event but wouldn't it be worth risking it?? (fingers crossed):cool2:
  2. Hi Blackpowder! Its from a Mighty Antar!
  3. Evening lads. I have a martian and when i leave it parked for long periods i keep the clutch pedal pushed down as mentioned before. The vehicle has been in storage on and off for nearly 30yrs with no problems at all. (clutch wise anyway!!!)
  4. Hello Richard, Well the boy did good. Amazingly the martian did struggle to keep up with the hippo on the journey to and from the show! Nelly put this down to the size of it (not sure if he meant him or the truck!) But hope to attend again with the pair of leyland's next year. Shame you couldn't make it there this year. Neil told me last thing on sunday that he was terrified that i was going to put a "lost person" announcement over the PA like you did the previous year! And to meet him at the lost childen's tent! poor little chap! Glad you had a good run back Dave. See you at the next gdsf!!
  5. And the Hippo in the second/third picture LFX301G is my hippo!! (1945) Hi Dave you got home ok? Nigel.
  6. Hello chaps (and lasses) Yes you must get back on with your k6 project tim! Although it does look very pretty sat in my shed and also doubles up as a good bench and place to put may things of interest! HAPPINESS IS HIPPO SHAPED!
