  1. Well done Gordon it is indeed! What remains now is to identify the meaning of the green disc. So far there is a focus on explosives, which indeed may be carried but there is a wide range of other items identified by a green disc. Also the purpose of the two red bars with writing has not been identified.
  2. Tony yes GRP V includes that, but these marking combinations are for other items.
  3. Not very good spies are they? :-D
  4. Could be Tony but not specifically. Here is a massive clue for markings in the lower red line that would be from these.
  5. Of the various adverts that appear on the top of this forum they seem genuine & pretty harmless. I have just come from a page advertising the National Trust so nothing to worry about there, but there is one that crops up on here recently called Spy Guard. This is a product that has gained a reputation it seems over the years. It warns that one is being spied on (& to some degree I don't doubt that) but it is worth doing an internet search for Spy Guard & as a result I feel it would be unwise for me to follow the link on their advert.
  6. Bernard I suspect that seaside romanticism is getting the better of your normally shrewd judgement. :-D In summary: We have a green disc that has no writing. It could indicate explosive things that have been focussed on but there are other things that could also be indicated by this. We have two red bars that have writing on them but they say little about product indicated by the green disc.
  7. Not in this instance Robert. It is possible on occasions that it could be & that is indicated by the green disc.
  8. Ingenious Alec but nope. Only one corner is marked red & in a consignment of identical items only one packing case would be so marked.
  9. Sorry just had a rethink on this one. It is conceivable that it could be but it is not specifically for those items.
  10. Not reflective, they well have been have been more subdued tones than I have depicted.
  11. Well thought out Lauren but its not that
  12. I can see where you're coming from but its not that Alec.
  13. Nope, its been established that these are a form of markings.
  14. Very good Alec they are indeed markings that would be on packing cases & boxes. The upper marking has a green disc & two red lines, the lower marking is a corner of a case or box marked in red. What would these markings signify?
  15. Bryan that is ingenious but nope. The second one does illustrate the corner of a packing case marked in a particular way.
  16. Not necessarily but these could be transported by train although that may not help.
